I booked a trip to the carribean for October & i'm aware that it's still considered Hurrican season. I didn't buy insurance on the trip because i've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the insurance. However if something serious is brewing around that time i'm def not gonna take the risk.

So my ? If some kind of storm does occur at the time we are scheduled to go does Insurance cover the cancellation of our trip or do they give people the run around?

Also w/o insurance do airlines usually give people a hard time about switching ticket dates?

Read the fine print about if the insurance covers natural disasters, because some may not cover hurricanes.

I think you have to assume the risk if you do book a trip during this type of season.

Might really need to throw it on now, headed to the Caribbean and this punk *** hurricane is setting up

If you paid w/ a credit card then it's wasted money unless u have a crappy credit card

What Card did you book with? Some travel reward cards will cover you for Trip delay, Lost Baggage, or cancellation.
