Side bets are the best for me. I put 50 bucks on the three card poker side bet and hit 500. Put 10 the next and and won 10 to 1 again but should've went 50 again or 100 :lol:. I purposely hit on 18 and stupid **** just to piss the people next to me off. That's why I stick to hold em poker against the dealer, whatever I do doesn't effect anyone except myself.

Use to bet on nba and nfl games. Me ans my homie had a decent system, wed both pick games for the night and compare. If we were in agreement on certain games wed each make a parlay. My homie was better than me at making picks tho. I swear we had a stretch of 10days we didnt lose a single parlay. I was up like 8g's. I was more conservative with my bets than he was tho.
 
Never drink when u gamble and never play blackjack.

If you want to gamble in casinos learn to play texas holdem
 
First job out of college was in Vegas. Lost 9k one of my last nights there after an open bar event. Also lost 7k in online poker on my lunch break at work

Glad the closest casino to me is now 4 hours away and Ive become more responsible.

no it isn't. I'm talking about poker where you only have to beat the dealer, not against other people. If I wanna keep going 3-4x on my bet that's on me, doesn't bother anybody else's hand
 
see, this is why if I ever do decide to gamble (I don't count sports) I'm gonna take like $500-1k and assume I lost it. when it's gone, so am I.

Word just have a set amount that if u lose it all u still good. Play money. Not out here gambling away rent or grocery money or baby's pamper money.

I can see why you don't think its a myth...A dude with 15 hits, gets a 6 or 5. i'm next. i hit i bust. but maybe the dealer didnt have anything anyways and still busts, regardless. i dont know if it is. 

thought about going to 25 min tables but thats so much bread............

you'll find out based on the first few cards in the next hand. And blackjack is too quick, try the poker. So many bonuses and everything you can be losing for a while and one good hand gets you back in the mix. I've gone from $50 or 100 to over a g multiple times with that game. It's the one game where I can lose all my bread and still enjoy myself. Main reason I go to ac as often as I do

Gambled a lot. Lots of highs and lows. But had an entry level job. 40k a year. 

Wasn't saving too much. Won most of my money in Poker. That 7k i lost, I built in like 2 weeks after depositing $200 online.

Won some live tourneys ranging from 2-5k for first place which was fun. Wish I would've just grinded in poker all the time instead of gambling late night drunk after the clubs

I know how you feel OP. I went through a two month stretch where I had lost 17 K (mostly due to refusal/inability to leave when I was up), and most lost at once was a little over 5 grand. Now I only go with buddies (like once a month) to eat free buffets, chill, or play really small amounts for fun. The last few months my gambling addiction has gotten much better. I still think about going pretty often, but I've been able to restrain myself from actually going. The main thing is how much time and energy that were wasted when I used to go two/three times per week. I think about how many times I had to lie to my gf about what I was doing and where I was. My relationship almost ended due to this bull****. I was losing sleep. I stopped playing ball. Stopped going to work. Made family members worry. All these things. I had to tell myself enough is enough before I lose everything.

You just gotta chalk up your 4 G's loss as an L, and not try to get it back. Take it as a life lesson that there's no easy money and move on. Because the more you go, the more you will lose. The only way to make money at casinos is poker.
