You said you didnt see anything wrong, then you said the cops actions were unnecessary and probably wouldn't have happened if the girl was white. Unless of course you dont see anything wrong with unnecessary force and treating people different based on their skin color.

At the same time though, I'm torn because I cannot blame them for taking advantage of their ability and opportunities. There is a reason why they are in charge and we are not. They created the weapons first or the means to transport. They got in control and have maintained it for centuries. I'm not mad at that. You get control and you keep control. It's logical. I'm more so just moved because the oppression comes at the cost of black people and other minorities. If it was business, the same rules would apply. I really just wish as a community, mentally, that we wouldn't have changed so much since the CRM. These new black folks are idiots. They idolize nonsense. And are oblivious to the world they live in. The 60s black man says, oh, I'm not welcome in yours? cool, I'll make my own. And keep to and police my own. The 60s black man wouldn't just roll over and tweet and talk. They would march and show you that we were here and not going anywhere. Not to mention the panther movement, and Malcolm's camp putting pressure on the police.

We have no leaders. No nina simone to sing the song of our struggle. No unity. And just underutilized anger.

When we were locked out and denied access, we were actually empowered to create and to grow. I'm sure the white people hated it, but one of the biggest killers to black innovation and development was them allowing us to take part in their stuff. Allowing us to come in their clubs and buy their booze and their food. Shop in their stores. Then we stopped creating our own. Stopped owning our own clubs and selling our own booze and food. Stopped creating and stopped owning which in turn stopped building our own wealth and power.

maybe this has been discussed in previous threads of related topics (unfortunately :smh:) but i missed it....so i'll ask here:

some prominent figures in the black community have been critical with either disappointment and/or anger towards Obama for lack of significant action that protects and progresses the black community. figures such as Cornell West, Michael Eric Dyson, Min. Farrakahn, really feel dissapointed or betrayed or letdown arguing that he hasn't done enough in terms of legislation or w.e. But with no congressional support what can he realistically do? what do you guys think? these DOJ investigations are a waste of time. don't do anything to achieve real accountability.

In some ways, 'merica is just a sexist as it is racist.

Is there a chance this officer could be used as a pawn to show that an officer was finally punished?

Remember, Martha Stewart WOKE UP in jail, when males who committed the same crime often got a slap on the wrist and an anklet.

Im skeptikal on any konviction, but 1st degree manslaughter karries 4-15, if im not mistaken. Thats a start in the right direktion, as far as justice is koncerned; again if shes konvicted. Manslaughter is also easier to prosekute than murder kuz intent doesnt have to be proven beyond doubt, which is much harder. Again, im hopin shes konvicted, but have my doubts based on history. That being said, there is an enormous amount of evidence n, more importantly, rekords proving past miskonduct n instances of erratik behavior. Again, im holding out for a konviction, n i am still skeptikal, but this seems to be an instance that has a better chance for justice for kolored folks; specifikally black folks.

At this point. it's either one or two things.

Black people, my people, move to Africa and let us live amongst each other and build a nation for ourselves where we can raise our families and create a nation of unity and peace. Not separation and hate! The white man and woman are through with us and done with any needs from us. They kidnapped my people from Africa, beat and enslaved them until they built America with their blood, sweat and tears. Now that America is built, White America has no more use for negroes. Either we move to Africa or str contributing to America as a whole. Do not vote.

If we don't do one of those two things, they are going to kill your children and my children. i'm tellin' you. You'll die in America. They don't want us (Black people) here anymore.

You're not crazy at all.  

Off the top, the last cop that I can think of that was convicted of manslaughter or murder was that Peter Liang cat in NYC.  He's asian.

This lady's name was released almost right away.  And the tone of the official statements from the cops regarding this shooting were completely different from most involving white, male officers.  They flat out said right way that there was no weapon on the victim or found in the vehicle.  They didn't seem to present the scenario as one where they were going to fight for their officer.      

Also, the black cop that shot dude in NC--they dropped his name and picture damn near the same day it happened.  

There's a pattern here.  It seems to me that white, male cops tend to get the most protection by their own.  After all, they are the majority.  So you essentially have privilege within privilege, which is pretty crazy when you think about it.

Look at what mlk and em did back then, fwiw in my opinion, this nation hasnt really improved on how blacks are portrayed and treated.

They still get gunned down, beat down, profiled, trapped etc, so if people compare those two pics its out of pure ignorance.

They are tired of this **** and nothing is changing. You expect peaceful protest for 60+ years??

Thing is if I attempt to explain that to him, he instantly closes his mind off and stops listening.

A couple weeks ago I told him, he won't ever understand what it's like to be afraid of cops. He wont ever understand what it's like to have that feeling in his stomach when he sees a cop in his rearview. He started laughing and asked how many times I've had problems with cops. As soon as I answered he laughed and said "that's a lie, you were probably doing something wrong!"

I'm really fed up with this ******** man.

I got some black lil homies that legit RUN if a cop is tryna stop them on foot. If they are law abiding or not, these cats, 12-16 yrs old know what can happen to them, just because your sin is your skin. Dam shame.

They dont wama show the smart, cool calm amd collective brothers actually spreading wisdom and standing up for somethin othet then attention on the matter.

They tell us to be thankful. Be peaceful. Obey the established order. Worship the flag of your captor.

Then they celebrate independence from European oppression that they coincidentally took through protest and war.

Bruh, this white dude I work with shocked me. He's mid 40s, bearded, tattooed truck driver. Got the old Harley and all and rocked a trump tee 1 day so I made sure to never talk about **** like this with him. Little did I know, son is very knowledgeable about what's going on and is very much against it. He's anti cops of all races but he shocked me when he said, "black people get it the worse from these pigs. I know whatever complaint I have u get it 10x worse and something needs to happen before we start laying those F'ers out". Dude even told me he was disappointed in cam newton, he's a leader and has many people who look up to him and couldn't speak the truth Cuz he's a coward. **** shocked me b and the cool white dudes were the ones talking the what about black on black crime nonsense.

It's really weird how ppl tend to treat cops as if they're not human. If a cop harasses you, you HAVE to be doing wrong.

I got into a back in forth with two local police who responded to my friend's posting of the involved cop's manslaughter charge. These dudes are legit patrolling the streets while simultaneously spewing complete ignorance. Scary.
