Man Shot and Killed by Police in Charlotte, NC- Cops Claimed He Was Armed, But Daughter States It Wa

You typed all that to justify a beating and it sickens you that other people dont feel the same way,
I cant buy a house in vancouver because chinese foreign investment has made the market go crazy.
You know what kind of lunatic id sound like saying that their littering and drunkenness and ability to thrive in this market is then a reason for them to be beaten in the streets?
Bruh, if your city was so well maintained as you claim there would be nothing to gentrify.
Do you think that these Caucasians move to places where they are in danger for fun and evil?
Nah...people get relocated for economics.
I dont get peoples argument when they say cops and whites keep acting out of fear when fricken bony hipsters have no problem moving in across from trap houses.

Instead of repeating the same statement, view the statement under regarding the violence rhetoric.

As for gentrification, any area that has a lesser valued regiom in a metropolitan, which is usually populated by minorities, is subject to gentrification; as you have referenced because of economics. If the area is bad, the same money invested to construction the area could be invested to revitalize it. Does gentrification has its perks economically? Of course. Does it make it right? In all cases, no, including Charlotte.

While i can feel your frustration, you just blamed the victim. An outnumbered white guy just got pummeled and you think its justified b/c "gentrification." :smh:

Thought this was interesting as well, which sorta undermines that whole "locals who have built this city" rhetoric.
Never blamed the victim. From the video, there is no conclusive evidence why he was mauled, or why the attackers attacked. In addition, I never supported a mauling. What I meant by the statement is the frustration generated through blantant disparities of how one is incentivized, i.e. how a new client receives perks that an existing client has not. The violence is unnecessary but how can you not understand generational mistreatment not leading to belligerence? I do not condone it, period, but I can understand why. And, can we agree that once the "why", or the root of misbehavior is understood, then we can move on to a progressive solution?

Regarding your statistic, that is interesting, and enlightening. I will admit partial fault, solely, because of the statement above referencing locals being undermined.

After watching the video on MSNBC, it sure looks like the pictures circulating of a gun is nothing but a black glove. You can clearly see the black officer gesture towards the officer in the red shirt to give him something, and the officer in the red shirt gives him black gloves.

THIS is what theyre using to say he had a gun? THIS?

does that even look like a gun circled??!?

and even if it is, who's to say its not one the cops put it there?

I see NC is passing a law that blocks video and recordings from law enforcement to the public :smh:

Now when a shooting happens and someone is killed they're not going to release the video especially if the officers are in the wrong :smh:

They also will have time to edit the videos and do what they choose to it and what they choose to show.

That is crazy they're trying to cover up their tracks even more and now lawmakers are helping them.

They think this is going to defuse the situation but it's only going to make the public more mad when they don't release the video.

PDs can afford all these weapons, tactical gear, and tanks but still have these terrible quality body cams

Can't see anything in that video. Only one cop was wearing a body cam?

they just released the video. it does not look like dude has a gun as hes backing away. SMH. If he did why dont we see an object fall from his hand..?

I didn't see a gun in that video. Hard to make out anything. Not entirely sure what to make of this case

How many times have I rolled up weed in my car? The police pulled up on him because he had a gun in HIS car. And then they keep bringing up the weed, what did that have to do with ANYTHING.

God, please watch over us. The foundation of this country and the evil history it was founded on is literally crumbling before our eyes. This is too much to bare.

I dont understand how he was approached... apparently they saw him and then left to suit up? but if they were serving a warrant for someone else why were they already not prepared?

Them yelling drop the gun dosent mean he had a gun. They knew there were cameras with audio rolling.

What are the gun and marijuana possession laws in NC? Is concealed carry allowed? If so why were the proper measures to deescalate and verify if the gun was in legal possession taken?

http://www.ncdoj.gov/getdoc/19be6294-bfbf-4875-bbef-ac2ebb6f47b2/Concealed-Weapon-Reciprocity.aspx

Concealed carry is allowed. But because he's black it was/will be presumed it is in his possession illegally.

yea and throw in the fact he had a brain injury and these were plain clothes officers...

so much room for confusion

and then the guy wasnt engaged in any act of crime at the time he was approached

ankle holster too?? so he could have had a holstered gun at his ankle...which turns into he had a gun and "drop the gun commands"??

sounds like so much bs from these cops man
