Man Shot and Killed by Police in Charlotte, NC- Cops Claimed He Was Armed, But Daughter States It Wa

Nah he got a book on his hand
Gun on the ankle
Cops shouts he's got a gun
He starts backpedaling
Gets shot by a cop but who fired the 4 shots isn't seen in the video
I mean the guy should have laid down immediately and allow himself to get arrested but he didn't deserve to get shot like that
Brutal stuff
I can't really argue with this, but from my experience you get tired of the police running up on you like this.

I kind of think I know where his state of mind was while this was going down.  I got some of my own crazy personal encounters with the police while I was minding my own business doing nothing wrong in both broad daylight and late at night.

It's really the overly aggressive way these cops approach situations at times is what takes situations to a very unnecessary place.  This was an open carry state, right?  No need for all that tactical **** just approach with caution, but collected and cool at the same time.  Just like they approach those white guys walking the streets with AR's.

I agree
Seems like the police was not focusing on deesculating the situation and was waiting for any indication to open fire at him
Guy didn't even run at any officer and didn't motion that he was gonna shoot
Poor training

When you got that many cops, WITH GUNS on you, everything is out the window.

All your doin is tryna make sure that they know you aint doin nothin stupid without makin weird movements while followin commands.

Guy got brain damage, I don't think he was in the right state of mind to "properly" surrender
You're not wrong, but in this case, it's unfortunate. Could have been all avoided if the guy who shot him practiced some trigger discipline.

I know there's gonna be a bunch of racists that will come in here and say "why are you sympathizing with the criminal", but the actions that occurred in the video didn't justify 4 bullets. An arrest was justified, but getting killed for walking back with a book and having your gun stuck your ankle? I don't think so. The cops missed a chance to make this without harm for the parties involved.

The Ultimate Issue is this......

Why was he being detained or questioned by police IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

"The officers were searching for a suspect who had an outstanding warrant when they encountered Scott, according to a police statement, but he was not the person the officers sought."

from that spawns the whole defense.... The Alpha is what's important here...

Because we all know what Ultimately happened,

WHY it happened is the question we should really be asking.

What was he doing? Why did his girlfriend leave him and get to higher ground?

There's a lot of ignorance, which means that you guys are ignoring some KEY EVIDENCE based on what you see!!

RIP to this MAN

He was rollin a blunt in his car and they claimed he flashed a gun at them when they questioned him in the car
However, there's no video from an officer that proves he did that?
And god knows what his wife was doing at that time
There's a lot of questions that have been unanswered at this point
It doesn't justify a riot, but the community of Charlotte should be getting transparent answers to what happened

IMO I think that is a BS explanation to cover up that they may have actually served the warrant on him, but realized it wasn't the right person after the fact.  Then came up with this bs story to cover there ***.

Law enforcement and the judicial system never admit there wrongs, and go to extreme and sometimes illegal lengths to cover them up.  Until attorneys on the other side investigate, and come up with indisputable evidence.

I've heard about and experienced it, so that's where I pull my reach from.

So you flash a gun at a cop while in a car and they don't light that car up? Only to eventually end up killing him with the better vantage point? That makes sense to anyone?

So with this newly released dash cam footage, what in the entire **** did this cat do to deserve getting lit up like that?  My mans was walking backwards towards the cops (as directed, I'm assuming).  He just didn't have his hands up.

But I saw no quick motions for his pockets, waistband, etc.  Can't stand these coward *** cops man.  Damn shame.

What type of protocol was that? Honestly like the more I see the video the less sense it makes. It was like 5 cops, all with guns drawn. None of them trying to mediate, no tasers, nothing. ****** pigs.

Watched Killer Mike speak at the Black National Convention In Atlanta and his message drove me to tears. Hearing the pain in his damn voice :frown:. He stated nothing but the god damn truth

Everyday I pray to God that a gun will never be trained on me or that I never have to look down the barrel of a service revolver

This the **** I'm talking about.  Dude just turned a mole hill into a mountain.  Didn't even give a chance to get out his car before he put hands on him.  Then accused him of not complying.  But this is the daily struggle of being black in America.  Check dude getting lockjaw for no reason.  SMH.  It ain't even about fear of a threat.  Dude is anger and aggressive for no good reason.  This is how simple situations turn tragic.

I hope the pig in that video catches a bullet to the temple on the job TODAY.

This is the ugly face of Riff Raff.  It's not just one bad apple the whole damn tree is rotten when it comes to LA County Sheriffs especially.  This reminds me of the time that black disgraced officer went on a rampage against them.  These dudes were dumping on any one in a pickup truck during that man hunt, but the media ignored that; and excepted as "oh they're just on edge right now".

Christopher Dorner?

Go back and read his manifesto. Very interesting.

“I will be vilified by the LAPD and the media. Unfortunately, this is a necessary evil that I do not enjoy but must partake and complete for substantial change to occur within the LAPD and reclaim my name. The department has not changed since the Rampart and Rodney King days. It has gotten worse. The consent decree should never have been lifted. The only thing that has evolved from the consent decree is those officers involved in the Rampart scandal and Rodney King incidents have since promoted to supervisor, commanders, and command staff, and executive positions.”

“While on a assigned patrol foot beat in Hollywood Division, Officers Hermilio Buridios IV and Marlon Magana (both current LAPD officers) decided that they would voice their personal feelings about the black community. While traveling back to the station in a 12 passenger van I heard Magana refer to another individual as a ******. I wasn’t sure if I heard correctly as there were many conversations in the van that was compiled of at least 8 officers and he was sitting in the very rear and me in the very front. Even with the multiple conversations and ambient noise I heard Officer Magana call an individual a ****** again. Now that I had confirmed it, I told Magana not to use that word again. I explained that it was a well-known offensive word that should not be used by anyone. He replied, “I’ll say it when I want”. Officer Burdios, a friend of his, also stated that he would say ****** when he wanted. At that point I jumped over my front passenger seat and two other officers where I placed my hands around Burdios’ neck and squeezed. I stated to Burdios, “Don’t ******* say that”.”

Don’t honor these fallen officers/dirtbags. When your family members die, they just see you as extra overtime at a crime scene and at a perimeter. Why would you value their lives when they clearly don’t value yours or your family members lives? I’ve heard many officers who state they see dead victims as ATV’s, Waverunners, RV’s and new clothes for their kids. Why would you shed a tear for them when they in return crack a smile for your loss because of the impending extra money they will receive in their next paycheck for sitting at your loved ones crime scene of 6 hours because of the overtime they will accrue.

Those of you who “go along to get along” have no backbone and destroy the foundation of courage. You are the enablers of those who are guilty of misconduct. You are just as guilty as those who break the code of ethics and oath you swore.

It is endless the amount of times per week officers arrest an individual, label him a suspect-arrestee-defendant and then before arraignment or trial realize that he is innocent based on evidence. You know what they say when they realize an innocent man just had his life turned upside down?. “I guess he should have stayed at home that day he was discovered walking down the street and matching the suspects description. Oh well, he appeared to be a dirtbag anyways”. Meanwhile the falsely accused is left to pick up his life, get a new, family, friends, and sense of self worth.

How do you know when a police officer is lying??? When he begins his sentence with, “based on my experience and training”.

Yep that's him.

I don't want to believe all officers are bad, but just like Dorner said, the ones that know about these bad apples and say nothing are just as guilty.

I really trip off how they try to get the community to help weed out the criminals for them, yet they don't practice what they preach.
