Religious famb... Keep it funky...

So all those millions and millions of people who attend church on sunday....u think theyre what?

Not intelligent? Hopeless? Impressionable? Gullable?
misled.

indoctrination starts so early that it can form your entire frame of reference to process the world. the sky is blue, grass is green, Jesus loves you.

it literally becomes part of your operating system unless you make a conscious effort to analyze the facts for yourself, and it takes a certain willingness to be ostracized for your beliefs in order to make your findings public in some communities.

just like people in some jungle tribe somewhere worship animal spirits because it's all they've ever known, religious folk just tend to go with the dominant beliefs in their society.

ever notice how people who grow up without religion--and there are entire countries that do--don't suddenly pick it up as long as they're leading a happy life?

if u believe in god believe this is the end of times that was described in the book of revelations
I come in peace . What makes these days more, "Final Days" than other points in history? Slavery, Holocaust, WW1, WW2, Great Depression? Point being, at any point in history, man has had enough "proof" that he was loving in the final days.

Aren't Gods years like 1000 years for us or something like that?

Not even that, just arrogant/self-centered to think he time in which WE live just has to be the last days[/QUOT]

I wouldn't go that far.

I think it's just people see change in their life.

How good was your youth vs how bad it has been.

Are we closer to the end than we are closer to the begining? I personally believe so. But no one has an idea when "the last days" are. For example, the writers of the New testament scriptures believed they were in the last days. It's a pretty arbitrary concept. The scriptures do also get into details of some signs of the last days that fit for these modern times, but there are things that are written to occur that also have not happened yet. So I guess you can say, there's levels.

There is a reason that Trump and other so called world leaders want to close borders, and then protect their resources. They understand what is going on. When the last days are spoken of, it is not the last days for people of color, it is the last days for white people and white privilege. They know that their people, the people who consider themselves white, are dwindling. You've got to remember, their religious theology does not consider people of color to be a part of their equation. They've done everything they've could from genocide, racism, segregation, sexism, religious conversion, homophobia, all things in order to make themselves the ones who would be superior, and it has failed.

I personally find it funny how it is all going down.

The bible has you covered.

Is called free will, and it has nothing to do with him.
I think the confusion lies in crediting Jesus when things go well but not Discrediting him when things aren't going in one's favor.

Why does it have to be
"Works in mysterious ways"
"He was testing me"

It always comes off as a copout teaching tool that he is outting humans through instead of being an outright BLAMING.

It is just weird

Name one place where jesus was introduced, which left the indigenous people of that land better off, with women remaining fully intact, spiritually whole. Name one. I bet and know that you can’t.

Good point/question.

I was also going to say that since Jesus wasn't present, HE shouldn't get the blame. We should just blame those men that used hia name in vein.

But you bring up a good point, we credit him for all positive outcomes.

He can't have it BOTH ways, as you said.

I’m just going to place this here cause I feel like people need to know this. What is forgiveness?
