90 day physical and mental transformation

I would even say we should try to contribute to a charity or something as well. Especially since it's over the holidays, so many programs could use the help. Maybe a dollar for each pound lost/gained we can donate to a non profit? Any charitable NTers that can help make some sense of this? :nerd:
When I'm serious and I've actually offered this when I'm stripping against you it's $5 a lb loser pays the difference. I'm with any type of suggestion that people have.

I'm with anything but like many people said that will take more organization. I'm just trying to kick it off with something simple with some serious people and at the end everybody that lurks or chose not to get involved will wonder why they didn't. People succeeding is what draws more people in. Like I said I'm in this all the way.

So this is like a NT bodybuilding contest? Kinda ayo. Assuming mean gene will be choosing the winner?

Honestly I assume that a heavier member would win any poll if they stayed focused for the 90. Good for them but by no means would I consider this a bodybuilding contest.

School me/people on this.
Keep it simple. No need for a lotus position. Find a quiet place. Sit up as best posture you can have, hands on knees. Breathe in and out. In with the positivity out with the negativity. Breathe from your lower stomach/upper pelvic region. Its hard at first. But chill the goal is no thoughts. But even if you do have thoughts don't stress it. Observe and breathe. Any time you start to get anxious. Focus a on ur breathing. Squint or close your eyes and focus on something ahead of you. If you need meditation music use it. I don't personally use it. Find what works for you, no rules.

Some things I repeat:

Release the ego, release the limitations, release the anger. In with the positivity, out with the negativity. Breathe out all the ******** and drama you have.

Like everything consistency. Its not easy. Keep at it. Peace.

I just started trying to do that.

It was hard for me to not think about anything lol but what i did was

Imagined thay everything in the universe was put in a blender including myself.....the air....the sounds.......birds chirping outside.....the floor..etc.
So when you think about something, youre thinking about everything.

"Become one with everything" as they say.

The goal is no thought. But I still have thoughts don't fight them. Like you said embrace them. Work with them. When I was heavy into in 2015 my whole life was a walking meditation. But it takes a minute.

Repped. I definitely need some of this in my life. Gonna give it a try. Thanks for posting

You guys can download a couple apps for meditation. The best ones I've used are Headspace and Breathe (both in the AppStore). Headspace is great for starting out since it's guided meditation. Breathe is a bit customizable depending on your current mental state. Both have options for purchasing more content, but Headspace is based on subscriptions and I think they're having a sale at the moment.

That's one misconception of meditation. You don't set out to eliminate thoughts from your mind, as that would be impossible for the most part. The purpose is to make peace with everything that goes on inside your head.

Think of it like this:
You have a messy attic full of important things. You can't get rid of them because they're valuable for one reason or another. Instead of tossing things out, you take your time and you tidy things up.

I'd imagine that everyone may experience things differently, so I may be only speaking for myself here, but there's a point where I "tune out" and am somewhat suspended in the moment. My thoughts come and go, and I make no effort to hold on to one in particular. Meditating has really helped me these past two years, but I've slipped up in these past few months. Too much indulgence this summer. :smh:

Sounds kind of lame but when I meditate I 'project' myself into what I find to be a serene location.

In my mind I picture myself in a quiet, empty, zen room with nothing but the sound of a waterfall and a slight breeze.

I try to keep my thoughts empty and hold that projection in my minds eye for as long as I can

Don't try to force thoughts away, but let them fade instead. You will never not have lingering thoughts so don't actively fight them.

It helps greatly when you learn to put the world effectively on standstill during the course of your meditation. Bills? Doesn't matter. Feel undervalued at work? Doesn't matter.

During meditation you just are.

This should be renamed the mental fitness thread

Or the jr stay in shape thread

Dropped an extra 25lbs that I haven't been able to get rid of for the past 6 yrs..

I don't eat too much of anything based on all the foolery that's in our foods.. Mary Jane helps as well. Being an emotional eater can **** u up

Good **** man! I wrap this court case up for good tomorrow and I can get back to the green. I let these people get the best of me and started drinking again and I hate it. That's one of my goals for this 90 is to cut out alcohol and get my diet back in check.
