HBO'S "Insecure" [ Created by Issa Rae ► Season III: 2020 ]

Black People are what 13% of the population, with women being more than half that makes 7% of the population max that is interested in black girl politics. I want the show to succeed and build an audience of people that aren't used to dealing with strictly the type of race politics that happen in corporate america. 

Game of Thrones developed a mass following because of the dynamics of family and cultural oppositions not because of sci-fi and dragons.

Veep, Silicon Valley, Leftovers and etc. all are about one thing but the inter-connectivity of its main characters really build a fan base, that's why they lasted several seasons.

I'm interested in what the show can be. Although its not Love and Hip-Hop, LLHH has way more eye candy and that's how you get people to come back

Pretty Girls and Drama, its not that complicated.

Side Note: check out Issa Ray on "The View". She was looking good AF.

Show is kinda "plain" but it just started so I don't expect much and the characters still developing. Rasheeda could get the pipe, them braids, lips & forehead. :evil:

The last episode was playing Goldlink too, shotout to that man. :smokin :smokin

Molly is needy and fast moving as ****. Everything Jidenna said was on point. I'd assume she need a win too. I just wouldn't have shown up. Other dude nicer than me. I wouldn't have let her drunk *** in.

I probably enjoyed Molly's story this so more than Issa's. Plus she's not that nice of a rapper :lol:

Yeah I might be confusing characters but I thought Rasheeda was the new black girl in the office which is still struggling with Code Switching (I like her by the way, was sad to see her get reprimanded but thats definitely a real thing).

Isa's best friend is hot but pressed. She deserved to catch a crazy L from the Enterprise dude but at least he was nice enough to let her sleep on the couch.

Its cool to see Jidenna get some shine, he's Nigerian (and ironically same tribe/ same state as me) so I'm probably a fan of anything he does.

Isa cheating on her BF was pretty interesting, especially because we clearly saw her BF turn away bank bae (who had the ******* sitting right). A lot of shows don't do a good job of portraying the woman as the scandalous one initially. Trust me when I say I've dealt with more than one chick who had a dude and was out here.... Chicks can be just as bad as men but society refuses to show it.

Last but not least shouts to rapper/ producer guy, he's my fraternity brother (saw the brand in a previous episode.... NUPES Don't lose :tongue:

I thought Molly was Nigerian I saw her last name and was wondering if she was Igbo as well.
 
Wow I was thinking about making this thread a couple days ago and didn't know there was already one :lol: great show

SMH SMH at Issa getting smashed in the studio after her bf did the good noble thing of turning down the fine bank teller. I wanted to travel back in time and tell him "go ahead, smash her, Issa will eventually smash somebody else"
 
So disappointed in Issa but man.....she was looking delicious. And the teller chick was throwing them major signs with the guns out smh he need to tap that

Show's a definitely a lot better after the first episode. I'm feeling it. Interesting for him to drop Tasha, and Issa doing her thing in the studio.

Yeah he was off that dating app that's very hard to get accepted in to for what I assume is exclusively for black singles.

Cuz she don't know what the **** she wants.

She had no problem with it until her friends brought it up and got all judgey when he said he aint go. Then she got insecure about it. Specifically insecure about being with a man who aint go to college.

Then she got accepted on that dating site and felt she could get a better quality dude so she swerved on him with the fake friend zone rejection.
