What Happened To Kung Fu Movies?

Killzone 2 starring Tony Jaa has some good action / fight scenes that reminded me of The Raid. It's on Netflix.

Donnie Yen has been putting in work for a while now. It's just that if you're not in Asia or watch his movies on netflix then you don't see his work. He's about to flourish major in Star Wars Rogue One though. Last American movie I saw him in was Blade 2.

But the action in those super hero movies pales in comparison to Kung full fight scenes.

I'll say it again, the kitchen fight scene in The Raid 2 is better than EVERY Marvel or DC action sequence. Everything down to the music is perfect.

I've never seen the raid movies but some of the hand to hand fights in Civil War were lit. It definitely had some real good fight choreography.

It's a great fight scene but its stupid to compare it to something like the airport scene in CW. Its a different type of action scene.

And imo it's not that far ahead of the DD fight scenes in the 2 seasons so far.

Now the prison fight scene from the bathroom to out in the courtyard in the mud and rain. Those 2 are hard to match if we keep it to fight scenes.
