There's no need to trim the schedule down, these clowns just need to man up and play. They've reduced the amount of b2b, gave them a whole week for the playoffs reduced the 4 games in 5 nights. They even starting the season a week earlier. This new generation is a joke.

Word.

Wilt and Oscar were averaging 45+ minutes a game their entire career before all this new medicine and technology. Guys just soft now

your the deepest team in the nba in a garbage conference shut the **** up david griffin

I'd have no problem with them resting guys if the teams box office (not talking resell sites) charged the same price when the cavs and warriors come to town as they do when the bucks and magic come.

It's a players league. They have different tier pricing, the box office marks the prices up for games when good teams come to town, or marquee players. The Lakers were trash last year but since it was Kobe's last season, teams priced the tickets around the same price they would charge when the Warriors and cavs come to down.

It was a bad look when they sat lebron in Memphis, bad when they did it to curry last week. Especially for a road game when those cities only get to see the players once or twice a year and they're healthy yet sitting out. The NBA markets individual players way more than the other professional sports leagues do, so it stands out more when a lebron or curry sits out when healthy.

The league won't care if fans complain, but perhaps abc who is paying a bunch to broadcast these games raising a stink will cause the league to nip this in the bud at some point.

Take a home playoff game or first round picks away from teams who blatantly sit star talent and it'll nip things in the bud quick. I mean they took 3 first round picks away from the timberwolves for trying to sign joe smith under the table years ago. If the league wanted to stop this crap they could.

LeBron and Dwight were both more deserving
Really? I mean Maybe, they did, but it's silly to shadow box someone's MVP for the sake of argument.

D Rose was the best player on a 62 win team. He absolutely deserved the MVP.

Same with AI. If you have the best record for the entire conference, and you avg 30 a game to get to that point, you deserved the MVP. It's not like it's blasphemous or anything close to that.

spot on... these dudes getting more money than ever but don't wanna play as much

how do you score only 14 points in the first quarter against a team that has theirs 3 stars sitting?

The Iowa Energy will retire Curtis Stinson's jersey on March 25th. He is 7th all time in career D-League scoring with 3,646 points.

This. I'm not even tryna be on that "back in the day... " stuff but I never heard Kobe, AI and KG complain about the schedule and it's too "gruelling" and I must rest.

I mean yeah it's 82 games but it's better ways to save yourself. Play less minutes Bron. Instead of staying in the game when your team is up 12+ in the 4th, sit down. Play between 27 - 30 minutes for a few games.

I don't have a problem with players resting. Especially if they're older or injury prone players.

If it were me, I'd rather play tonight, then go out all night and sit out tomorrow vs the Lakers.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Makes more sense to rest a player the second game of the b2b right...,

Is doc rivers really about to abandon ship for Orlando

Would be a smart move for him. He's not going to win in LA and eventually will be fired. May as well go to Orlando where he'll be given time to build something new.

And then subsequently tear it to The ground
Clips goofed by giving him so much control, dude gonna trade himself to Orlando if/when they trade cp3/Blake
