Is it just me or does the quality of HS basketball gets worse each year? I see Lamelo Ball and I remember the guys around the 2005-2010 range and it amazes me how he's a top prospect right now.

I can't even see Lamelo being one of the best players in Memphis during the 05-08 years. Guys like Joe Jackson and even Randy Culpepper would probably mop the floor with him  .

Lamelo not the highest rated player on his team. They have a center who suppose to be really good

Even just looking at guys on the court in general

I'm sure there are a few top notch prospects out there, but the talent pool just doesn't seem as big anymore. I can even tell a noticeable difference in college basketball right now compared to some seasons ago. The Kentucky team had the 2nd best ranked class, yet, it looks nothing like some of the previous products put on the floor.

I see what your saying. When I see Zion Williamson highlights it legit looks like a grown man playing with middle schoolers

College ball as well, the top 12 draft prospects are all freshman. Let them cats go straight to the pros and get college back to a amateur athlete sport. Put all that money into the d league and let players get paid.

i ***** with lonzo but lamelo (

) gon get a rude awakening against some real comp... liangelo prolly ain't gon be **** tbh
Real comp? He just gave 40 to Oak hill as a 10th grader. Idk if it gets any realer than that

the secret to beating chino hills is to stop the bigs first. the ball brothers shoot at a pretty bad % if its not cherry picked. the problem is they have 2 or 3 bigs that are bigger than 99% of their competition's bigs. So the ball brothers chuck up a brick and those bigs crash the paint to get the easy tip or putback dunk. Happens the overwhelming majority of the time.

The bigs also are responsible for most of the cherry picking. When your team shoots, the ball brothers typically take off as soon as a shot is up. They leave their bigs to go get the rebound and throw the outlet pass. More often than not, its your 5 players, vs their 2 or 3 bigs.

BOX. OUT. BOX OUT THE BIGS = NO OUTLET PASSES. If you can't match their bigs in size, beat them by playing smarter. i dont have to fight this big dude for a rebound, if i dont let him get close enough to rebound. Meanwhile, cuz the ball brothers are already running past halfcourt, we have 2 extra people to clean up our misses, as long as the bigs are boxed out.

If you have no size capable of boxing out the bigs, then hard man-to man lockdown. So if your team shoots and someone takes off down the court for the fast break, you take off too. At no point should your man be more than 3 feet away from you. HARD man to man lockdown. pause.

Yall can see in the highlight vids if u pay attention, half the video is a brick from the ball bros and the big coming in out of nowhere offscreen and putback slam

Nah that's disgusting. Couldnt even watch the whole vid. ***** jogging to get back on defense and barely making it past halfcourt before sprinting back towards the basket :x
that ish stupid as hell.....my nephews all on the ball brothers Sac.

I don't watch anything other then the nba but I saw those highlight cause my nephew was going crazy cause he scored 92. Dumbest 92 point game I've seen.

Yeah the 92 pts is stupid. If I was him I wouldn't have even gone for it. Give me a cool 40 or 50 and chill because the backlash of scoring 92, in that way, wouldn't even be worth it. You not getting going up, you just cherry picking man lol They're indeed a circus.

But he does get busy though. To be that young, he's really good. Don't know what that means, but yeah.

HS basketball is a joke. This is why the NBA doesn't want these guys straight from high school.

I hear that's how that team plays all the time. A Ball brother lurks around half court, they get a rebound or inbound and outlet for an uncontested layup or 3

What????? Man hell no this ain't it

They don't want HS kids in the league because they have a relationship with the NCAA.

That's another factor. I'd rather draft a college player then that dude though. Very few LeBrons and KGs out there. You let these young men make that jump and a overwhelming amount will not make it. They'd be better served going to college not just from a basketball perspective but a life one too.

You know how many college guys aren't ready for the league either? Playing in College has virtually no bearing on how good / bad you will be as a pro.
