Didn't know about that loophole but the context of that quote wasn't rule based.
He's still been good at defense this year but I just still don't think he's mobile enough to contribute anymore. Not the same player since game 5 of the finals.

Why is PG's team so fixated on LA? If he wants to play for a winner so badly, I don't know what would make LAL a great destination for him in Free Agency in 2018.

If they keep this pick they can attach young talent to one of the Deng or Mosgov deals to move them and open up another max slot. Just in time for another LA native to hit free agency when he does. Things could turn quickly especially as Klay & Dray's deals come up again.
