Was watching that Rockets 58 three point attempt game the other night and it got me thinking.

They take an exorbitant amount of ~30 footers. There isn't any real way to defend that unless you literally are chest to chest with them off the ball which nobody is going to do because you have to help on Harden's drives.

And these guys are so far behind the 3 point line that the help can't recover like they might if it was a regular three.

And again, they take soooooooo many of them.

If they are making these shots come playoff time, you can't beat them given they volume that they're taking.
Warriors thought this too last season.
And all it took was an injury to Bogut, two superstar performances by the Cavs, and a Draymond suspension to make it happen.

Rockets IMO have the best shot at beating GS. If their 3s are falling they can beat anyone. They just gotta keep shooting and pray.

What about the Spurs?!?!

Why Lou to the Rockets might've been the biggest move at the deadline.
And what's crazy is he wasn't even supposed to go there ( I don't think, correct me if i'm wrong on this)

Lakers had him lined up to go somewhere else, but Magic personally asked Lou where he wanted to go and he said Houston. That's crazy.

They've taken a total of 6 mid range shots in their last 3 games.

With teams like GSW and Houston with elite level playmakers and shooters who actively seek out the three point line, it's literally a matter of make or miss.

That one, and the Oladipo extension i'm not too fond of, but then again i'm not a huge Oladipo fan.
Yeah forgot that they locked him up that quick.. 84 million.. sheesh

I could have seen it with KD.. now I feel like he's trade bait. Hope he can keep his stock up

Why is leemelone in such a large bag today? Blake just put up 43-10-5 for the agriculture. There's a reason why his selfie is hanging in the rafters, man.

Forgot where I heard it, but I think the deal was maybe Utah. It wasn't Washington like many thought. I'll have to re-listen to all the podcasts I've listened to in the past week.

A report said Magic gave him options of Utah, Houston or Washington or something like that

Magic's with the agriculture

Magic will make Los Angeles Great Again

MDA lowball is on his way to revolutionizing the NBA for a second time. King byke!

How do teams beat the Rockets?

There is a way to have success against them.

Instead of running back to prevent the fast break, crash the offensive boards. Switch everything and hope harden is not hot.

forget focusing on defense, you need to outscore them. only teams that has that type of offensive attack are the warriors and maybe the cavs, spurs

Meh, Dipo's splits with Russ off court have been pretty bad and he isn't a good enough ballhandler or creator to be backup point (low AST % last I checked). We need a real backup PG. Of course, Russ is going to play 40 mpg in the playoffs, but the dropoff going to the bench is so hard we have routinely seen Russ come out at the 3:00 mark in the 1st with an 8 pt lead, come back in at the 10:00 mark of the 2nd down 10. Semaj is Kendrick Perkins all over again.

You don't beat a team by playing their game. Never understood why people say this.
