This is the most amazing season I've ever seen from a player. Better than Kobe 06, Bron 13, and Curry last year.

Russ also somehow the most clutch player in the league now, what a time.

OKC gets the 5 seed, he's definitely winning it. Hell if they get the 6th but it's 50 wins, he'll win it. Watch.

this is a tired argument
harden is putting up similar numbers on a better team
russ isn't getting it over him

I cant get behind WB winning MVP still. A 7th seed is too low, even 5th. It would devalue winning as a criteria for the award and thats the primary thing its based upon. I just dont see it happening.

Lets be real, if we're talking the true definition of the word Value? Its Westbrook. But thats not what MVP means.

The MVP also has a nice little history of ignoring narratives, like when Jason Kidd turned the Nets from worst to first (still agree with Duncan winning), and how Dwight Howard took a team of horrible defenders and put them on his back (The Derrick Rose MVP is an absolute joke).

If he averages a triple double and leads the league in scoring, wins 50 games, plus he has no other all star on his team - if it wasn't for harden that's a lock

If he's 7th you're probably right, but they're now only 2 games outta 4th as well with a really favorable schedule down the stretch. I think the benchmark is 50 wins. The media already showed they think he was the best player of the 1st half of the season. Now with the additions and with OKC finishing in a flurry and the historical aspect of what he's doing, I think he has a great chance.

it's very rare that the absolute most valuable player wins the award. changing the criteria just for westbrook is weak. and if he wins I know they only gave it to him cause of the media circus surrounding his triple doubles

If they make a play for fourth by all means. They have the 22nd easiest schedule going forward so its possible.

Outside of that, nah. MVP to a non top seed is unlikely to me.

D'Lo reminds me a little bit of current CP3. Looks like he's kind of flourishing a bit w/Lou gone.
