Barnes is trash, you can look back and find people calling him that even before the playoffs because we knew he would get overpaid.

I didn't talk about "games missed" I said injury history. Maybe you don't know this but 7'1 oft injured bigs don't get better as they age.

Keep trying with your narrative though, GSW didn't "lose" anything.

It's going to be a lot of y'all tryna talk yourselves into thinking they aren't going to completely dominate the league.

theres no narrative here. i firmly believe that gsw will win 60+ games and finish first in the west. but there is a large majority of gsw fans (albeit uneducated ones) that simply feel that gsw is gonna go 82-0 scoring 150 puts a game shooting 80% from the field. and because of that, they don't need to worry about rebounding, defense, depth and turnovers.

they'll even try to convince folks that javale mcghee is a suitable replacement for andrew bogut.

harrison barnes did exactly what he was supposed to do for that team until this years finals. he avg 10-12pts a game and shot 35-40% from 3, and he was a decent defender for one of the nba top defenses. before this past seasons failed playoff run, gsw was trying to figure out how the were gonna re-sign him. so that "barnes sucks" narrative doesn't work either (outside of last years finals)

gsw didn't lose anything

bron > MJ because he never faced a team as "great" as gsw

your credibility = shook

and im a big LBJ fan, but thats hogwash

You not even one of the posters that I know on here, I could give a damn what you think about my "credibility", save it.

You the one out here tryna talk about losing Barnes and thinking that people already didn't think fondly of him.

I don't have to say anything about your credibility, go ahead with that.

I'm just calling a spade a spade. take it how you want it

Cuban came out and said Barnes is going to have games where he has 25 or he only has 4.

Cuban has spectacularly failed the franchise since the 2011 championship.

He going to be paying Dirk 8 million a year for "consulting" until the end of time.

Dude took a bunch pay cuts for nothing.

I'm just saying, your opinion don't mean nothing to me.

So again, save it.

likewise.

moving fwd

OAN (and unrelated to you)

if the cavs somehow picked up carmelo anthony in the off season and lost TT, mosgov, jr smith and hired javale freakin' mcghee and david west to patch the holes, i'd be saying the same thing about them

The two teams aren't even built the same, so that's a terrible comparison.

Melo doesn't even bring what KD brings at this point in their respective careers.

Shoeking got a new sn?

GSW will be the team to beat until curry signs with Charlotte.

Depth is overrated. Since when do the Cavs have this deep bench and no one saying nothing bout them. Old as Dunleavy. Old as J rich , channing Frye, shump, jj.... 8 man rotation in the playoffs can get it done.

Y'all tripping. GS will be fine and I'm sure they'll be able to pick up a decent rim protector that gets cut towards the end of the year, that just wants a chip. . Happens all the time.

ok so, why comment if "my opinion means nothing to you"?

but since you felt the need to comment about it. let me break it down for the challenged ones in the room.

gsw lost a starting center and SF, along with most of their bench depth (the ones you say don't matter) for more scoring (KD)

so...

TT is the starting center and does most of the things bogut did, so...yep
since you can't let go of LBJ, JR Smith (the starting SG) is closest to barnes (last years starting SF)
CLE doesn't go really deep into the bench so you can pick any 2 of those guys, remove them from the roster and add mcghee and david west.

but again? you don't care what i think, so why respond.

again,

moving on

If I've gotta pick between Bogut and Barbosa or KD, I might have to go with KD

Na man, why take a top 3 player when you can keep a banged up center who's already given you his best years and a bench player in his 17th year of professional basketball?

You tried to make a comparison of two teams that are built totally different and two players who aren't even similar.

Look at this substituting you tryna do to make it work, that lets you know.

Nobody who watches basketball seriously would compare Cavs adding Melo at the expense of those players to what GSW did for KD.

You even brought up Mozgov, who they let walk for nothing.

I respond to people I don't care about all the time, it's a forum, you're not special.
