I like Powell, but losing ross leaves Powell and Joseph as your only backcourt backup options. Lowry is leading the NBA in minutes and losing Ross puts more pressure on the backcourt. If one person gets injured, they are in trouble.

Besides, they have a good number of bigs they can move so might as well balance the roster while also improving it. Plus getting Serge makes Sully expendable. He is on a team friendly deal that is very tradeable.

They're not really viable options but Raptors also have delon wright and vanfleet

Raptors really just need Carroll to get back to his ATL contract year. I was expecting a little more consistency from him once he went to Toronto considering his role was being a 3D guy. Injuries messed him up last year, but thought he would get back on contract this season.

ibaka soft though

hed rather shoot from the outside than bang in the paint
Ibaka soft?

Donovan turned Ibaka into a stand in the corner and shoot type player....

remember when ibaka was Air Congo?? them days seem soooooo damn long ago

billy donovan ruined that man

I get criticizing Orlando for their past moves, but this one today was a good one. There's not really anything to debate about that

Making 9 bad moves >>> making 1 good one

See Jackson, Phil

I know 2 guards that Toronto can have :nerd:

I'm not sure how you guys think ibaka was supposed to be used with KD/ Russ dominating the ball and the emergence of Adams.

Can't blame Billy D for serge being 34 either

Raptors were playing Lowry and Joseph together. Van Vleet can play, too. I don't think depth is an issue

They have been sucking it up lately, maybe Surge will help with the slump, but when you have the chance to move assets and strengthen your team, why not go for it?

Lucas Nogueira
Bruno Caboclo
Serge Ibaka
Pascal Siakam

I see you Ujiri :pimp:

Nobody said Orlando GM made the move of the year or should be exec of the year

He made a good move today, had he kept Ibaka it would have made their situation even worse. Can't criticize him for his transaction this particular time, but sure, leading up to this point it hasn't been pretty

Had no clue what Orlando was trying to accomplish with all them short sighted moves they made last offseason.

to be fair, he was 27 when entered the league
throw in his big dong, that weighs down on the man's knees. i know, from experience!

Why is Kevin Love so fragile. He just made the playoffs for the first time 2 years ago, ain't like he warned down.

humans werent suppose to be running around/jumping at 6'10/250

that's why it amazes me watchingt guys like malone and lebron who rarely missed a gm
you've seen some of these guys when their career is over?

football is the worse :x
