Don't want to get my Leemealone on, but a lot of the initial hate for Russell came from the team he was playing for. People wanted him to fail.

People keep trying to push this ALA stuff with D'Lo when a lot of the hate came from within the Lakers' own fanbase.

Not denying that at all. Stemmed from expecting Okafor to be drafted and him starting off statstically hot.

But it was clear why a lot of people wrote him off immediately.

It's def a win. Snell wasn't (for whatever reason) going to get any burn behind Dougie and Nikola and now they have this German cat Wipser who does everything Nikola does AND scan defend a bit.
