I don't think so. Hansen and crew aren't law enforcement. They just set the dudes up then turn the evidence over to the cops. The cops aren't the ones really doing anything

People in general are stupid and always confess. Take first 48 for example. Often times the police have little to no evidence to actually convict somebody besides a homeless person as an eye witness, but the dudes always confess and never ask for a lawyer
