Once you hit a certain talent lvl it doesn't matter if you do. Harden is a great example of that. I will give you that for sure.
My take away point is that intangibles do matter.
I feel you. I just don't think its fair to assess Dlo's practice habits. I do agree he gives off the standoffish/doesn't care vibe, but he's been consistently getting praise from coaches all year for staying extra, shooting, etc. I don't think it is fair for us as fans to speculate on how hard he works when we have no idea.
One thing I will say, is it looks like he doesn't have that dog in him. He doesn't have that dive on the floor for a lose ball, run into the crowd hustle gene. I'd prefer all my players to be wired that way, but I don't think Dlo is. I've seen him hustle and go after lose balls on occasion, but he's not the type to constantly throw his body around with no regard. I'm talking that constant motor like Kawhi, Westbrook, Pat Beverley, Draymond, etc. That go the extra mile trait.
Maybe it'll improve as he gets stronger, more athletic & when he starts playing in high-stake games & not lottery standing games.
It's not the end of the world. But that's why we need Josh Jackson Edited by SoHi 23 - 3/20/17 at 11:33pm
