**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Nick's injury is a blessing in disguise. Perfect opportunity for Brandon Ingram to shoulder the scoring load and show us why he was the number 2 pick and arguably the best player in college basketball last year.

Calderon is basically a 3rd PG now...

Perfectly fine if he's backing up because the Starting PG or Backup PG got injured...

But as the 2nd PG... If you're started goes down, not a great situation to be in

There is a reason why the Lakers kept Metta on the team. Think Julius Randle, who is our ONLY enforcer. Think of the intangibles and locker room presence, from one of only 2 players on the team that has a championship ring.

Those of you who wish we had kept Anthony Brown are flat out clueless. Dude can't even get off the bench with the Pelicans smh.

So Zach Lavine and Shabbazz Muhammad to the Lakers for Deng is a rumor I'm seeing.

No thanks on Dieng. He's about to be making $16+ mil a year.

Absolutely no thanks for that.

Pek + Shabazz & Tyus Jones and some mediocre picks or even pick swaps for Deng and Huertas

everyone knows why metta was kept on the team bruh

but you could have easily kept him on as a dev. coach  instead of taking up a now-valuable roster spot

but yeah, i cant see thibs trading for deng...i know they have history but deng aint the one who puts them over the edge to become contenders.

True, but hindsight is 20/20. Nobody expected Young to injure his Achilles at roughly the same time D'Angelo would be out for almost a month with a mysterious knee injury.
