**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Hawks took Milsap off the trade block.

Also even if Sixers simply want to dump Noel, they can get something for him.

In light of an ESPN article on Jan 8 that the 76ers are shopping around for point guard help/depth...

Calderon for Noel, straight up, both expiring contracts. Philly may be willing to simply dump Noel because of their logjam at center and to free up future cap space. Who knows, anything can happen.

Lakers can then offer Lou, Deng, and a future pick to ATL for Millsap and Hardaway Jr.

Hollywood
Young
Randle
Millsap
Noel

Clarkson, Ingram, Hardaway Jr, Nance, Mozgov, Black, Robinson, Huertas

This would lock up the 8 seed imo

Dudes have got to stop thinking our trash will get something of value in return. Noel isn't some scrub that you can just throw some old vets or people who don't even play to get. At the very least it's going to take someone of Clarkson's caliber to even get to the table.

Yeah, but none of you jokesters was talkin' that mess when CLE was able to acquire a starter in Korver from ATL for trash

We ain't Cleveland and they have a top GM in the league in Lebron. The other east squads love helping him out.

Cle acquired Korver, a starter and one of the league's best sharpshooters for TWO SCRUBS WHO DON'T EVEN PLAY (i.e. trash).

In other words, equivalent to Calderon (i.e. trash) for an oft-injured Noel.

Feed the fire fellas. I'm always down to fight lol

At first I thought he might actually believe the **** he posts in here but dude is a legit troll.

No grown man would ever talk/post **** like this

Like I said, Korver to CLE for Mo "I ain't played since 2004" Williams and Mike "How am I still in the league if my Pops ain't coaching no more" Dunleavy JR.

Calderon for Noel is basically the same type of deal.

How did those Storm Blues turn out?

The Korver deal makes your scenario even more ridiculous.

They gave up a 1st rounder for a 35 yr old spot up shooter.

It's gonna take a lot more than that to get a 22yr old defensive anchor.

Calderon for Nerlens

Would be stupid af for Philly to trade Noel to us of all teams but whatever, I know some enjoy mental masturbating.

Anywho I just wanted to chime in on the CBA talk. Saw some quotes saying players would just sign with their incumbent teams and force a trade after the fact...I read the exact same thing last time they restructured the CBA. Off the top of my head I can't think of any player who actually did that. Melo, deron Williams and Dwight are the last guys I can even think of to force a trade and that was like two cbas ago

Cleveland's first rounder will be a #30 pick. You act like they're giving up a valuable pick

When teams are title contenders, they have no problems giving up late first rounders in order to acquire a valuable role player that can be an integral piece.

Stop it now my dude. A first round pick for a bottom-feeder team such as LAL, PHO, PHI is MUCH different than a first rounder for an elite team therefore trade value is going to mean a lot different for those picks in the context of a trade.

We don't even have a 1st rounder to give. And again a 22 yr old is different than a 35 year old role player.

People act like Noel is some sort of gem LMAO

Dude tore his ACL in college and has missed a ton of games the last two years due to injury after injury. Might as well say Noel's body is just about as durable as a 35-year old

Think about it. Why is it that it's Noel NOT Okafor who's on the trading chop block in Philly?
