Funny enough, if the Lakers didn't have Mozzy and Deng on their books I could understand making this trade.

If (or maybe I should say "when") the Lakers manage to find a way to trade Mozgov and Deng before the deadline, I can see them willing to take on the expiring contract of Ibaka and take their chances on re-signing him in the offseason, especially if the Lakers can land a star caliber player now in order to convince Ibaka that the Lakers will make a serious run for the playoffs next year.
Ibaka is only 27, and has LENGTH. He would be the perfect complement to Zubac in the frontcourt.
It was OKC's LENGTH that gave Golden State fits with Adams, Ibaka, and Kanter during the WCF last year.
The Lakers already have Ingram, Nance, and Zubac, all of whom have length and play really good defense. Adding Ibaka should be a priority for Los Angeles.

"27" and has played 7 years in the league. However, he is DURABLE. 5 out of the 7 years, he has played over 73 games. One of those years he played all 66 games of the 2011-12 shortened season), which means he would've played close to, if not, a full 82 games. Which means, he has actually played almost a full season in 6 of his 7 years in the league. The one year he had an injury, he played 64 games.

If it's a straight up deal, then most likely no. But if Philly addresses their PG needs and acquires an expiring contract from NY such as Brandon Jenning's AND you can acquire a center who can back up Embiid or start for you when The Process gets hurt, you are then seeing things from a much better perspective.jah for Moz

Y'all notice how he tries to throw in rumors that have been widely reported as somehow being news. Like we know they're talking to Chicago, Portland, and New Orleans. Your barbershop sources aren't needed on that front.
