**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Dame Lillard is mad overrated. Ask yourself why Portland would want to get rid of him if he was so good.

Imo, Portland would be smart to get rid of Dame and build around CJ. Can't have 2 ball dominant guards fighting for the best player on the team spot.

We need a strong supporting cast regardless of what star will be attempted to be brought in. We have guys that fill those roles. Getting rid of all of them so we're a worse version of the Pacers doesn't do **** for us.

..........so, a young player, got better, after we traded him.......so weird.......that can happen?

Probably NOOOOO chance that could ever happen again, right?

We did, we won chips. Because we already had Kobe (in his prime) on this roster. And LO, and Bynum, and Phil Jackson. Pau slotted right in.

We have none of that, currently. Hence, BE PATIENT, before you start throwin your assets out the window. When you have a better core built up, and you're 1-2 players away, THEN you can absolutely get aggressive and make the move. I'd 100% support that.
BUT, you are not throwing your assets out the window.....you're talking about paul george?!  If that doesn't make sense to you, then damn...

Yeah Portland is gonna have to make a choice, can't have 2 small ball dominant guards that don't play defense starting for you.

Paul George who isn't winning anything in Indiana, and wouldn't win anything in LA, at a much higher cost, AFTER a career altering injury. Sure, how would we not be guaranteed Titles with that set up?

I wouldn't trade Dlo for Buckets or PG either. I would trade a package revolving around BI for both tho.

BI plays the same position as Butler & PG. Of course I would rather give BI up because what are you going to do minutes wise with BI + Jimmy or PG?

Y'all just want to win the press conference & become instant contenders. I want to be an instant contender too but it doesn't work like that.

If y'all are really tired of rooting for a losing team go be warrior fans. You can come back to the Lakers after Kd&Steph retire.

Jimmy is a 2 guard, PG can play the 2 or 3. They both would work fine with BI and eventually be a terror on the perimeter especially defensively.

No, don't generalize us. In my case, I just want to unload a player that I don't think is talented enough to become an All Star NBA point guard. And if we can do that to acquire a player like Paul George, I'm all for it.

so that is your reasoning.... not a winner, higher cost, and career altering injury.......hmmm.... Bill Walton with the Blazer. #FACTS

in no way am i comparing pg13 to bill walton, i'm just proving to you your flawed way of thinking.  You're so sure of yourself its sickening....ur no Oracle brodee. I can come up with just as much FACTs as you.

I don't even look at BI the way y'all [emoji]128525[/emoji][emoji]128525[/emoji][emoji]128525[/emoji] at D'Lo.

I simply do not see D'Lol become an all star caliber pg. And if that is the case, it is all about who you surround him with.

Hell even in the all star game BI said 'Meh, D'angelo doesnt relly pass the ball much, so you already know what to expect'

bruh.

cut ties while you still can. You wait too late and he'll be hella expensive while still providing low value. He has less potential imo than JC had and JC is looking like a serviceable role player at best.

Us too. It was Tuesday, we were buns and kobe was leaving. By Wednesday we traded Kwame and a bag of ranch doritos for Pau and started our path to 3 straight finals.

We were buns, even with prime Kobe and good Lamb-chop. Sometimes one key unlocks every door.

dont foget that they are about to have the highest payroll next year

push come to shove, they would attached dame to a bad deal like leanord or turners

Sam Amick made a good point right now on the radio

There's no way the Lakers will have the All Star game at Staples next year with no Laker in it. They will make a move.

I thought y'all were interested in championships? Guess I was wrong. Y'all are more concerned with all star games
