**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Mamba, What made you change your mind on Jackson? Remember you said you didn't like him and only wanted Fultz or Ball.

Dlo last 9 starts: 23.8 ppg, 5.2 apg, 47.8 fg% & 41.6 3pt%

I still don't like him, think he has the lowest ceiling out of him, Fultz, and Ball. But Tatum doesn't do enough on the defensive end after evaluating his entire year to warrant him going #3.

Tatum shouldnt even go top 6 to be honest. He has bust written all over him imo.

I still think jackson is better than Ball, but I'm kinda rethinking my stance lately. The thought of a Dlo/Ball backcourt is too intriguing to me. Yeah you'd have defensive problems, but imagine the shooting, decision making and passing. Oh my gawd.

Bottom line, as long as u keep the pick, you're hitting a homer. Or at the very least a double

Well Fultz looks more like a 2 than DLo. DLo & Ball would be so bad defensively.

If we luck up into the #1 pick and Magic & Rob picks Lonzo..... :smh:

Oh he not? That revisionist history got you too?

Folks had 2014 as the class of all classes. People talked in November of tanking for Wiggins, but now he not great and worth having? 23 a game, just turned 22, and now he ain't great?

Devin Booker tho........

People expected much more of Wiggins especially as an all around talent.

As for Booker...he's averaging 2 less points, 1 less reb, 1 more assist than Wiggins and is barely removed from being a teenager. So if Wiggins is a great, what is Booker [emoji]129300[/emoji]?

Expected. Great word.

Booker is also slotting in at below average based on PER. Shoots at a lower % than Wiggins, and is a lesser defender. He is younger tho, so he certainly can keep growing, but pretty clear Wiggins is the better player, and a guy the whole league wanted to tank for. And got traded for straight up for a 24 year old KLove. (who everyone was chasing as well)

He also has the Kobe issue, where he has to share the ball with KAT, Book does not.

Fultz is more athletic than dlo but he's not an elite athlete.

It's crazy to me how dlo just instantly made a huge leap in his % and turnovers. That's something I was concerned about but now this guy is looking like a true #1 option if he can keep it up. He's always had the ability to shift defenders with his handle but he's just recently been finishing those plays and driving to the rack. Crazy what difference just a little bit of spacing can do

I have you can check my receipts, it just gets washed away with both extremes. And even still on a career high you refuse to do it lmao

Last night I said he played great. Next time I'll remember that King Jaffe says I must only say he played great and nothing else. Kewl [emoji]128077[/emoji]

I still think DLo is more efficient as the number 2 guy on the team instead of being the primary ball handler

BI is getting more consistent as of late, I like it, he's gonna be great by year 3

I really like our team going forward
I have a bad feeling that Randle or Nance will get traded within 2 years though

Fultz has some Kyrie in him in this way.

Not the most explosive, but very good at getting to his spot, using his body to create space and angling.

*wipes brow*

I know it's a 9 game stretch so small sample size and all that.

But the only players to average equal to or greater than 23.8 ppl, 5.2 apg & 41.6 3pt% for a full season are:

Curry (2015-2016 & 2013-2014 seasons)
Bird (85-86 & 84-85 seasons)
MJ (94-95 season) (the season where he returned and only played 17 games)

Only 3 of the greatest NBA players in history.

And Dlo just turned 21 a month ago :smh:
The Future is real bright :smokin

I'd trade nance. The possibility of Randle improving his play making even more makes me want him to stay

I actually think Fultz forces Dlo to be more of a 2 than Ball would. Feel like Dlo and Ball could both play the 1 or 2 while Fultz is locked down at 1.
