**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I can see his potential, I just don't think he'll be as good as Kevin Durant, which is what a lot of people are suggesting his potential is.

I'll be glad to die on this hill. I just don't think Ingram is that good. Good players don't really shoot that badly from three or the free throw line.

I say this knowing he's still 3-4 years from becoming a finished product.

Listened to the pod yesterday and really enjoyed it. I like all 3 of those guys and they all disagreed with each other at some point.

Nate admittedly hadn't watched BI towards the end of the season, so it's understandable why he wouldn't be high on him. Darius brought up a lot of the reasons why I still think BI can be an all star eventually.

You don't have to agree with everything they say but its good to get an outsiders perspective on the team.

That's really all I said. It was good conversation.

And a change of pace from the Ingram will be amazing and "Dlo/Randle should be traded, no they shouldn't" conversations that take place daily.

KD is legit one of the best scorers of all time. Can't really project that type of ceiling but Ingram does have some similarities as a player

He also has similarities to Nic Batum & Tayshaun Prince.

I'm dead:

Leflop as a Laker looks odd. I would have mixed feelings about the team if this happened. Sure he's "the best" in the league right now and would get the Lakers into the playoffs but that's just hard to root.

Yup, I'm with you.

And I kind of get the Batum/Prince comp, but he's already shown to have way more playmaking/iso scoring ability than Tayshaun.

I've always liked Nic's game, if BI can be him with better iso scoring/slashing then that's a really good/if not great player.

I was worried about BI but he showed some real flashes those last 3 months.

Also gotta remember he's the same age as most of the players in this year's draft. He's actually 7 months younger than Josh Jackson.

Said it last year, if he could develop into the tier of Middleton or Galliari, I'd be happy.

Everyone talking about these BS Lebron rumors and whether Ball and daddy are going to be chosen.

The real answers I need are how in the hell can we going to dump Mozgov's contract and get him off the team?

Package him with D'Lo or stretch him at the end of next season to get rid of some of the money.

Pretty much stuck with Moz and Deng unless you package them with a good asset which would be dumb.

Moz & Deng both have 3 years left on their deals. The warriors will prolly win the next 3 championships. Might as well ride it out.

If you were desperate to create cap space to sign somebody, then trading Moz/Deng would be a priority, but there doesn't look to be anyone worth signing.

I actually think brooklyn is a good landing spot for Deng

Anyone else headed to the espn draft party ?
I Was able to get in in the list
Gonna be at Ballast Point brewery in LB

For Lebron to want to come here next year, so much would have to happen that I put the chance at like 5%.

-Cavs would have to lose again (they'll probably get swept next year too... I mean come on, the warriors are ridiculous)
- Dlo & Ingram would have to show AMAZING potential/improvement
- Lonzo would have to hit and be top 3 in the ROY voting
- would have to clear 2 of the following 3 contracts off the books: Moz, Deng, Clarkson

I will say, having Magic on our team took the chances from 0.05% to 5%.

Please stop with the LeBron to Lakers talk yall just look pathetic now...every summer same talk

Dude wtf are you talking about. "every summer same talk"

Lebron has never been realistically rumored to the Lakers.
They floated rumors last summer with his kids enrolling in school in LA, but that wasn't legit.

He was never gunna come here in 2011, he's not KD signing with the defending champs. He had his legacy on the line and he wasn't playing behind Kobe.

Theoretically, he did the same thing in 2015 when he went to a young team with CAP space in cleveland. Granted, that was a completely different scenario cuz he was going back home and he wanted to give Cleveland a ring, but if he was willing to join that Cavs team, him joining the Lakers in 2018 is a real possibility.

Any shot you have at the best post Jordan era player, you have to go all out. Everyone knows Im a Dlo fan but I'd trade him in 0.025 seconds for a SHOT at Bron's last few years.

"Where there is smoke, there is fire"
I've read like 3 different reports/sources who say Lebron wanting to play in La is a possibility. There was no way I would've believed Bron coming to LA before these reports. Not even in my wildest dreams.

Once again, we're not talking about Paul "fake superstar that can barely drag his team into the eastern conference playoffs" George. This is Lebron ******* James. One of the 5 greatest players of all time. If there is even a SLIGHT chance that he wants to come here, you drop everything to accommodate it.
