Lakers nation was saying: we ran the Spain pick and roll for the first time in the series in the 4th quarter and got two wide open looks. Never went back to it. Too much free lance random offense. Ham seemingly doesnt have his hands on the steering wheel and no control over what the team runs.
 
Ive spent the whole season saying the same thing last year and this year. Sure enough, I was right. To beat denver, you need a big body center. Even Jokic has said this himself!!!!.


BUT NO, YOU THINK AD CAN SPEND THE WHOLE GAME OR RUI GUARDING JOKIC.

Part of me wants us to even the series, but the other part wants the nuggets to finish us off at home (no diddler)

Just ran into someone in a FB sports group that legit thinks we're a Finals team if we hired anyone else the Lakers were considering when we went with Ham.
Everything else the same; just never hired Ham.
NBA Finals.

Can I praise Darvin Ham while also saying he’s dumb.

Reaves and Rui off the bench earlier in the season actually not a bad idea. And would make total sense.
But benching them for Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince was madness behind the idea.

And making the decision to do so with guys who are worse than AR and Rui created a worse margin for error. And it’s little things killing the Lakers making them a play-in team and also struggling versus the Nuggets (separate reasons). Even though the Lakers will be the toughest series for them.

Anyway, AR a super 6th man makes sense next year. Then sacrificing Rui to get better at the 2 or 3 with starter level player. (Not saying Rui isn’t good, he clearly is. But limited trade chips).
