**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

This summit happening? I fly in from Bahrain on the 29th of December. Got two weeks then back overseas for 6 months...

Jules punking Embiid. You guys see the last few plays, watch embiid switch so he doesn't have to guard Jules. Had him thinking about getting bodied 3x

This game goes to show that we need a player like Boogie much more than PG or Lebron. We were at Embiid's mercy the entire game. He could've gone for 40+ again if he weren't in foul trouble. We have no interior defense. None.

Games like this are frustrating because we follow the same script. Build a lead or make it a close game in the early fourth and then blow it. I know this is something all young teams do but it only makes our need for a star more glaring.

How many times would we face embiid? And how many embiids are in the league? I agree on going after Boogie (and PG), but not because of one player

lot can be said that if you have a player, you dont have to go against him during the season
but if we gonna meet the 76'ers in the 2020 finals, we need an answer for embiid

It's not just Embiid though. Every good big man goes off on us. Nurkic went off, Cousins went off, random scrub from Boston went off.

Baynes
Ya but hopefully by 2020 we’ll have players that other teams don’t have an answer for too

I’m all for Boogie coming here with PG. can we still keep Randle with those two assuming JC, KCP, Brook are all gone and Deng stretched?

Even though he missed it, loved seeing Zo pull up for a three to take the lead at about :40 remaining in the 4th. Shows confidence and that he really wants to be that *****.

It was good clock management going for the two for one and its hard to tell an NBA player to not take a wide open 3. That being said there's a reason he was left wide open

That's not what he was doing. We got the ball with 38 seconds left, and wasted too much time, he shot at about 28-29 to preserve a two for one situation, which was heady, and ultimately worked, because Ingram got that last shot.

I know we won and everyone is happy but we need to address our free-throw shooting. We were 12 for 24 (50%) from the line. Even if we shoot a league average percentage we win by 8-10 pts.

Aren't we the worst 3 point shooting team as well?

This is expected... No one on the team gotta jumper besides Clarqson and Kuz

Lonzo has to be dragging down both team 3 and free throw %. He's gonna be alright tho. Past few games you can see him starting to develop his catalog of moves on offense. Take everything he does and just add average shooting and he's already really good

Why Is Portland so much better than us ? are they that much more talented? Their roster doesn’t blow me away

Lillard
CJ
Nurkic
Aminu
Turner
Ed Davis
Harkless
Vonleh

The one that really blows my mind is the Spurs. They are 17-8 with this roster:

1 Kyle Anderson
14 Danny Green
12 LaMarcus Aldridge
5 Dejounte Murray
11 Bryn Forbes
42 Davis Bertans
22 Rudy Gay
4 Derrick White
3 Brandon Paul
77 Joffrey Lauvergne
16 Pau Gasol
8 Patty Mills
24 Darrun Hilliard
10 Matt Costello

Kawhi and Manu haven't played a single minute. Without Kawhi we are legitimately more talented than the Spurs. Just goes to show you how far coaching and fundamentals can take you.
