GET OUT -- New horror film about black man meeting white gf's parents. Looks creepy.

My girl wanted to see this..
First, I was like this story line is for white people's entertainment.

But I finally watched the trailer. And it's kind of the same slave energy typecast. But it's something new and fresh as far as ideas go. And both of those dudesites are great actors. So I'm mildly interested, but still not sure if I should be watching some stuff like that.. white people going to enjoy this to much..

Just go see the movie and chill with that non sense, it was great and the theater was 80% African American and the people I sat with loved it, I was the only white only person in my row

Been wanting to see this. Getting good reviews? Gotta wait til next week though :smh:

it's 100% on Rottentomatoes and it's for good reason

perfect blend of horror, comedy and social awareness

Just watched an early screening. Everyone should go see it. I thought it was great.

Also saw it. Ending was satisfying. Wasn't scary, but there were some jumps. Humorous as well. TSA dude was funny.

I loved the ending, that TSA friend was hilarious

40 year old virgin milf would still get it

Ending was definitely good. TSA friend was a real one and was completely honest about the situation  Agreed with him 100%.

That.......that is single handily the scariest scenario I've seen in a long time. As a black man they asking a lot for me to see this movie.

This. My gf is white. That scene from the other previews where they intoduce him as the new boyfriend and the entire family just stares at him like this all at once

That is real life. This movie looks too scary man. Don't know if I can watch

Peele was on Combat Jack's podcast. It was a dope interview. Spoke a lot about the Black experience and black horror. It's about time we got this kind of perspective.

That's what makes the film so great in my opinion. That **** is real life for a lot of black people  Like (Non-spoiler, since its in the trailers) when the cop is speaking to them and asks to see dude's ID. His girl makes a big deal about it, saying he wasn't driving. He just shrugs it off like "That's life". The film really doesn't have to exaggerate how some white people react to or act around some black people. Personally, I didn't find it too scary, but there were some moments where others in the theater jumped, accompanied by appropriate music of course. But I suppose it depends on how you deal with horror in general and what levels of it you're able to handle.

Just got back in

Has a 100 on RT. Very Rare.

Is there a message behind the film or is it more comedic?
