GET OUT -- New horror film about black man meeting white gf's parents. Looks creepy.

also I think he didn't confront his girl about the pictures in the attic because to him, she was his only way out of the house at that point, he was gonna play it cool until they made it out of there
If she's in on it then why would she let him leave the house?

No, some people are under the inpression that he was still simping for her even after he found the pictures of her

I was saying he was playing it safe by acting like he didnt see or know about the pictures, at least until he made it out of the house

Up to that point, he hadnt known she was in on it

Good point and yeah i can see that because its not like he didnt have the opportunity to tell her he saw it since she walked in literally as he got up from there.

And at that point he knew she was in on it by all the pics, calling her out surely wasnt going to get him the keys to the car or help him get out

By then tho it was way too late.

I got a question. At the end of the movie when Chris is choking the life out of Rose, do y'all think he let go because
he just couldn't bring himself to kill her, or do you think it was simply because he saw the police lights?
I wanted to think that it was just because of the lights, but I swear that I remember him letting go before the
lights were even visible. Like there's a point where he's looking down choking her, and then seems to gasp and just
let go. And it's not till a few moments later that the lights come up...

Somebody was saying that she also had some mind control over him because she said she loved him or something. I'll have to watch again cause I think his demeanor switched up with her too when she said that on the bench while the bingo was going on. Maybe like a safe word.

Iirc, Rose started smiling as she was being choked, as if he wanted him to do that. Not as if she wanted to die, but like she wanted him to go full savage and continue killing or something. Might be remembering that wrong, but I'm also sure that's Chris stopped choking her before the lights hit him, specifically b cause he decided he didn't want to. I assume because he couldn't bring himself to.

In terms of th pictures, I think he started to suspect her then, but genuinely didn't know what to think. She honestly could have been hypnotized or she could have been on on it. He didn't have enough info to know for sure until it was too late.

He just couldn't bring himself to kill her because of the feelings he once had. That's why she started smiling. She knew she had the upper hand with that. Which is also why he left her to just bleed out.

I thought he let go when the lights hit him but either way she was dead

He let her go, the lights didnt come til few seconds after he let her.

She wanted him to kill her, which is why she smiled like cmon do it but at the same time knew he wouldnt be able to. Idk about that mind control/safe word deal, she didnt have any "powers" it was just the mom and her hypnosis.

I know what you mean though because at the lake he was crying about his mom then all of a suddent he mood changed and it was like he didnt know what he was doing or where he was at. But iirc she said something that wasnt right which seemed like somethin dawned on him when she said it.

Son was talking about he was hypnotized and it was cool  Friend's reaction was spot on. My man, how are you not worried and running for the hills by the fact that this chick's mom hypnotized you without your consent?

Plan on taking my girl to see this Saturday if the weather isn't bad. She told me she wouldn't speak to me & would block me on all social sites if I saw it without her.

That Ben Carson meme

See, that's another thing I loved about this movie. The theme of slave mentality aka the "sunken place". These Carson, C.Newton, Shaq, Stacy Dash types let certain people get in their heads, and they're mindset is all kinds of messed up.

Sad reality :smh:

I think it over simplifies it. If they were in the sunken place then they'd be victims, them folks actually feel and agree with them ideals. They sitting around waiting on they opportunity to get off the waiting list to become the next host body but don't know that nobody actually wants them

You wanna know whats crazy

All the white people at my job acting like this movie doesnt exist

They're in here raving about Logan and when someone mentions 'Get Out' they're like "cool" and end the convo

Another aspect of this too are dudes like Peele being accused of this simply because he's intelligent and speaks more plainly.
