So Apparently Fox Has Ran Out Of Damnz

i listen to bomani jones podcast and he has mentioned several times over the years that a lot of people think they have a greenlight to poke fun @ asians stereotypes.

people do this kinda **** repeatedly when they have no fear of consequences and reprocussions.

the asian community appears to be on the quiet side for the most part, but if they want **** like this to stop, they better start hoopin and hollerin'.
I dont know about other Asians but if I'm drinking beer and you make fun of my asian descent, that beer bottle is heading toward your skull.

Bravo, the daily show and last week tonight are some of the best and actually informative shows on tv, both hosts are amazing and I'm glad they roasted the *** out both those racist, dry MFers O'Reilly and Waters....scum

Well, women always have multiple reasons, but I find that to be the most common reason
Let's say you have one white guy and one Asian guy, same economic backgrounds and both have "attractive looks", 7/10 Asian women would pick the white man

However, some do also date because it feels like they are assimilating into white culture. But like I said again, it's all about looks. If you look white, boom dateable. If you look Asian, well, you probably have to settle for next door Becky.

Read this article

http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me/asian-woman-dating-asian-men-jenny-an

Basically this is an Asian woman talking about why she doesn't date Asian men.
Part she hates her own culture and the other part she wants to be adopted into White culture. Sad, but for some reason I can understand her point.

That's a cold lick

:smh:

Last dude brought that fire

Somebody said Ken Jeong. While he is a well known Asian I don't think he's Asian American. Granted he probably does have citizenship by now.
You gotta realize the ignorance in that question though.

Asia is a continent. It consists of countries. India is a part of Asia. So when you ask the Asians to represent every nationality should. Its trying to exclude India from Asia.

Its not like this was about Koreans and somebody was saying the Chinese should be a part of that as well.

The categorization and difference is no different than talking about ppl from the Caribbean/West Indies as opposed to Jamicans and Grenadians.

Oh I realize it now but if your gonna tell me Asians aren't looked at as Chinese, Japanese, ect then your trippin.
I always included Indians under that label though (and I enjoy calling Russians Asian too  but that's a whole other thing).

Like I get what your saying, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc. share more aesthetic attributes than they do with Indians but that's never what I considered/learned/taught what an Asian was.

Stuff like that is prevalent though. Like some Egyptians trying to front like they ain't African cuz some ppl solely attach African with being black, ignoring most of North Africa when it suits them.

All of this does go to the greater flaw of making some groups of ppl identify with their continent while others are all prideful only repping their country.

You can't say anything bad about Jewish folks at all in today's world. They run everything.

given that one major party presidential candidate is backed by an army of anti scemetic internet trolls clearly they don't run that much.

I don't understand what you're saying. Indian people are from Asia, so they are Asian, just like Chinese, Japanese, etc. people are. No one from Asia introduces themselves as "I'm Asian" but they all fall under the same broad category, except for Russians who are obviously Europeans that happen to be in Asia. Again I don't understand why general Americans find this to be a difficult concept when the entire world understands it, and in fact the American government and every questionnaire I'ven filled out does too. On every form I've filled out, there is a box that says "Asian (Vietnamese, Chinese, Asian Indian, etc)" Indians look different but the culture and values are for the most part very typical of Asian countries
Are we not supposed to identify where people are from by continent anymore?
If I could add to why I believe this concept is so hard for Americans from the USA to understand is because we often use "American" as shorthand for someone from the United States. Canadians are Americans too as well as Mexicans (history classes will teach you they are one of the groups that are more American than most Americans but thats another topic for another day). @SFC415  I know you watch soccer too and in Liga MX there is a team called Club América in Mexico like I think this example that they use America in a way to identify themselves as well as Mexican but there are alot of people in the USA who wouldn't do that because of the shorthand we have made.

So I think the lack of understanding of this is that people from the United States have monopolized the term American only in reference to themselves and not others on the continent.

So when @KingKoopa  says (and no shade man just using this as an example to explain my point)

What's Asian to you then?

People who look like Jeremy Lin
This is really the mindset alot of people from the USA have not just about Asians but themselves as well. If you where to ask a good amount of people from the USA what is American to them and whats the first image that popped into their mind when you ask them that if they where being honest they probably imagined someone white even though we know white people don't makeup most of the America's. So a lot of people from the USA take that type of thinking to other continents as well and thats why they see Asian as Japanese, Chinese and Korean but don't consider people from say Singapore or India to be Asian.

So what's wrong with people not considering Indians Asians?

I'll never understand the mental midgets that go out of their way to advocate for the right to insult people. Do ya'll really not see how absurd that is?

Know what, nevermind.

People should have the right to say anything and do anything they want. Whether its offensive or not. If you get your *** whooped cuz of it, so be it. But freedom of speech, shouldn't be tampered with. Even in this PC fake outrage culture.

Are you a minority?

My babies mom Is Indian and I work with dozens of Indians and Pakistani, them boys don't like being called Asian

By some peoples logic arabs are Asian too. Call a Arab dude Asian and see what happens

They are illiterate then. Indians are considered Asian throughout Asia and Europe. I'm half Indian myself on my mom's side and have spent half my life traveling/living all over Asia. She grew up in London where Indians and Pakistanis are called/refer to themselves as Asian immigrants. I'm not Arab so I can't speak on them.

I mean even at work, my Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and Korean coworkers that are from Asia refer to me as Asian. All of my educated Asian friends refer to me as Asian. My Japanese boss told me he hired me over a white candidate because "Asians work harder".

It's only in the US where for some reason they're separated from the others, probably just due to appearance.

Trevor Noah and the daily show. :smokin

Glad he got that gig, dude had one of the funniest stand up specials I seen in years.

Yeah, Indians look a lot different from the majority of Asians but I still consider them Asian. You're not going to mistakenly think they're Chinese.
