Wrestling Thread January 1st / Happy New Years NTWT Weekend Edition

With the RRumble seating 60,00, officials are working hard to make it a big card.

RUMORED matches so far,

Seth VS HHH
Owens VS Lesnar
Atleast 2 big names to appear at the RRumble match

Officials are trying to convince HBK to do 1 more match at the RRumble VS AJ Styles.

If HHH VS Seth happens at RRumble, they're still planned for WM33.

Officials want Undertaker and SCSA to appear at the RRumble. If Taker does appear, expect it to be an angle to set up a match VS his WM33 opponent.

The reaction Goldberg got this past Raw surprised many backstage. There's already talk of him doing another match at WM33.

1. HHH vs Rollins in the Royal Rumble already would be dumb. Just have Rollins be in the Rumble match and have HHH cost him.

2. Taker vs Cena pls

3. Sounds good. VS Brock at Survivor Series, be in the Rumble match, face someone to put over at WM after he's inducted into the HOF.

TNA may file for bankruptcy by the end of the week.

lol tna will never die

i dont understand why all these wrestling fans want tna to go out of business

thats just bad for the industry period. its like some of these dudes out there would let vince mcmahon donald trump them with a smile

Who in your opinion has had the best second act/career resugence in TNA? By this I mean was prominently featured elsewhere then had a second career of note with TNA?

Some suggestions off the top of my head...
Jeff Jarrett
Sting
Kurt Angle
Matt Hardy
Jeff Hardy
EC3
Bobby Lashley
Kevin Nash
Scott Steiner
Booker T
Christian Cage
Gail Kim
Drew Galloway
Ken Anderson
MVP
Mickie James
Raven
Rhino
Rob Van Dam

I'm sure I'm missing some. Just curious to see others thoughts.

hands down kurt angle, gail kim, and bully ray

i think kurt even wrestled longer in tna than he did in wwe

and i honestly would call gail kim the greatest american female wrestler of all time. she may not be the most popular or flashy but she will always work a match. her longevity is second to none

she truly deserves to go into the wwe hof

It is true.

NXT was supposed to be a Developmental League.

NXT Brooklyn selling like that, the first time, might have been the worst thing that could have happened to them long term.

Now the emphasis has shifted from developing homegrown talent, to NXT being the 3rd touring brand.

So now when NXT doesn't have "Star Power" people call it boring and stale. Well, it isn't supposed to be a place where you see established stars.

And also, because of that approach, these established stars STAY in NXT for long periods of time because they are used to draw fans when NXT Tours..

I don't like it because nobody wins here long term, not even the WWE

@brendasdeadbaby called it long ago

All I'm saying it's gonna take more than those 2 women to develop the rest of em as they work their way onto TV. They don't have to be "indy stars" just more experienced to help Balance things out and do the player coach thing.

All valid points. Also I don't know why they don't use NXT to rehabilitate some guys. Tyson Kidd saved his career going down to NXT and find some charisma.

You can't tell guys like Curtis Axel, Darren Young and others that are just not doing anything couldn't benefit from a couple months down in NXT

That would be smart.

I agree with this. Axel, Hunico, Swagger etc could all use some seasoning instead of rotting away on Superstars/Main Event
