Wrestling Thread January 1st / Happy New Years NTWT Weekend Edition

All I'm saying it's gonna take more than those 2 women to develop the rest of em as they work their way onto TV. They don't have to be "indy stars" just more experienced to help Balance things out and do the player coach thing.
Again, you are looking at it from the, "Successful NXT" formula where we believe there MUST be some more established folks there to season the younger folks.

This is developmental. Meaning everyone there should be relatively on the same level. Once that level has been passed, move up. Simple as that.

Who is this that you claim doesn't have experience?

Royce has been wrestling for 6 years.
Billie Kay for 8 years.
Moons for 8 years

They have experience.

WE just need to be patient with developing talent

All valid points. Also I don't know why they don't use NXT to rehabilitate some guys. Tyson Kidd saved his career going down to NXT and find some charisma.

You can't tell guys like Curtis Axel, Darren Young and others that are just not doing anything couldn't benefit from a couple months down in NXT
Well that was the whole point of the Brand Extension. So you want the brand to get extended again?

If those dudes can't find their footing on an already smaller roster, it might not BE for them to succeed in that company

I agree with this. Axel, Hunico, Swagger etc could all use some seasoning instead of rotting away on Superstars/Main Event

Nah get Swagger off my tv

NXT report from a couple days ago

WWE NXT Ft. Pierce Live Event Results
Ft. Pierce, FL

Meet and Greet: Rich Swann Daria Beranato and Cedric Alexander
Patrick Clark defeated Tian Bing. This was a decent match that ended with Clark pinning Ling with his feet on the ropes. Ling looked solid in his Fort Pierce debut.

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay defeated Liv Morgan and Aliyah. This was a lot of fun. A very entertaining womens tag match. Billie Kay pinned Liv Morgan for the win.

Dallas Harper defeated Steve Cutler. Another good match with some excellent heel work by Cutler.

Sanity (Axel Tischer and Sawyer Fulton with Nikki Cross) vs Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis) Match was dominated by Sanity working over Tucker for most of the match until the hot tag to Otis. Sanity win after Cross spays Tucker in the eyes. Lots of post match mayhem afterwards. Also lots of “We want EY” chants during the match.

Ember Moon defeated Mandy Rose. This was another excellent match. Ember is amazing and Mandy continues to improve witb each match. She looks simply amazing in the all gold gear. So far she has been the cream of the crop from the last season of Tough Enough.

We then go to the interview with Andrea D’Marco who introduces The Drifter Elias Samson who makes his return to the Fort and still has as all the heel heat he had when he left. He starts singing a song running down the Fort which draws massive heat. Then he states he has a special lady who loves him and the music of the NXT Womens Champion begins to play and it’s Asuka time who arrives to one of the biggest pops of the night. Samson teases that Asuka is in love with him and she plays along at first only later to kick him in the face and then she destroys his guitar. Excellent segment.

Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli defeat Angelo Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford. Another great tag match. Both teams work well together. Sabbatelli pins Dawkins for the win.

Tye Dillinger defeated Bobby Roode in the Main Event. This was simply a Glorious Ten match!! Roode comes out to a massive pop with everyone singing along to his theme. He then cuts a promo stating that he was sent here to make Fort Pierce Glorious but looking at everyone in the crowd that’s impossible. He then talks about the Dusty Classic and how Dillinger begged him to be his partner and tured out to be a failure. He states that Dillinger isn’t here tonight and that the ref should ring the bell and start the 10 count so he can be decared the winner and get the hell out of this town. Count starts and when they get to 10….Dillingers music hits to an even bigger pop! He hits the ring and the match is on. Tons of back and forth action. Dillinger pins Roode for the win. If their match at Takeover: Toronto is half as good as this was Spoiler Alert: They will easily steal the show.

Top to bottom this was an outstanding show. I never thought I would say this but we have to give thanks to Hurricane Mathew as this show was originally scheduled for this past Saturday October 8th but was postponned due to the storm. Had it taken place on the 8th it would have been a double booked night with the majority of the top talent being at the Road Trip show in Baltimore. Instead we were treated to one of the best shows of the year here in Fort Pierce.

NXT returns for the final show of 2016 in Fort Pierce on November 3rd.

Already mentioned before, dye Mandy's hair red and seamlessly replace Eva with her, and just act like Eva never happened

Brand Extension has worked wonders for already established guys and the newbies from NXT.

Heath Slater is the only middle ground talent that wasn't a top level guy to get a real opportunity so far.

They seem to be trying to give Hack Swagger a shot now as well. But who else has gotten a chance to rebrand themselves due to the brand extension that was floundering before it.

Darren Young & the Axe Man are in the same spot they were already in. At a certain point some guys just have too much stink on them and I think having them go down to NXT would benefit them.

Its my birthday guys :nthat:

Enjoy your birthday fam

I don't know if this was posted, but the reason Undertaker was seen in crutches is because he had hip surgery

As noted, a couple of photos surfaced online last week of The Undertaker walking around on crutches. It’s no secret that Taker has been dealing with back, hip and knee issues for years.

Former WWE referee Tim White noted on Twitter that The Undertaker recently had hip surgery and is using the crutches during his recovery. Taker has not appeared on WWE TV since his Hell in a Cell match with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas and after the match, Taker was telling people backstage at the event that he was done wrestling. It should be noted that he has said that in previous years.

And Bubba Ray Dudley went to twitter to answer some fan questions.

Wrote that he would come back to the Smackdown show as Bully Ray and wants to challenge A.J Styles for the belt.
