Official: Red Dead Redemption 2 Thread: Releasing 10-26-18

Do it!! I picked up the GOTY edition when it first became backwards compatible and I remembered why I completed that game to 100% when it first came out. Helluva game.

But nah I gotta hold back for now. I'm still working on playing through my backlog of PS4 games and there are a bunch of new games coming out within the next 2 months I'll probably get also.

I mean RDR 1 I played and beat it and the undead nightare DLC zombie story expansion.I must have seriously put in 150+ hours in the online mode alone back in the day

During my first walk thru I was in pure denial. I wanted to kill everyone so badly.

Get revenge as Jack was sweet tho. Such a badass story.

I hope this game stays 100% true to the Western days. During the end game portion of RD you can already see cars. I want zero of that in this new game.

I havent played the first one but ill definitely play this 1

If you have a XBOX One. You can buy and play it on there. I heard that version is really good graphics wise. Besides XBOX 360 last gen had the better version compared to PS3.

Do yourself a favor and play the first RDR. The single player story alone is EPIC.

I haven't played it. I kind of wish I did now. but..graphics too far behind at this point. Eyes not built for mindcraft graphics anymore lol.



Wait til R* drops that fully remastered Trilogy pack like Naughty Dog did with Uncharted.

but thats what made it so goat. so realistic. Because the wild west did end. and it was the story of the last few true to life cowboys hanging on to a time that will never be again. Like Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End.


On a side note. With how ill R* handled the old west...I'd love for them to dabble into some pirate stories. Would be fire. One of the main things I liked so much about Uncharted 4 was the pirate story arch and even they didnt go all in.

Honestly not surprised by this move since the PS4 has been dominating and outselling the XB1 from the jump this console gen.

Sony has done similar exclusive content deals for games like: Destiny and Call Of Duty Black Ops III also this current gen.

The post also confirms that the very pretty premiere trailer for the new game (above) was captured on PS4 - although that most likely means the upcoming PS4 Pro upgrade.

It's crazy how the director or producer of the new HBO Series Westworld said he played RDR and that the game influenced a lot how that series was created.
