Did you put in that work in grade school?

I sold and traded comics in school.

And the occasional football/basketball fundraisers. I hated doing it because I had to carry around a box wherever I went.

We use to hit the vending machines. 3 of us, 1 with the lighter 1 with the coat hanger 1 lookout. Melt the plastic with the lighter, make a hole in that **** with the hanger and once u in its a free for all. Flip it at school lol

I used to hustle nfl pencils

The good kids got to work the school store

Got to buy the nfl team pencil for 10 cents flipped for 50cents

I hated how schools would force the students to sell candy. I knew in my core that was some child labor exploitation.

After the first go around, I did not get heeled by the false incentive of all the toys and **** you could buy with that imaginary money.

So I would give the first box to my moms and then sell whole boxes to Habibi and other Asian corner store owner for 2× and sometimes (if I was lucky) 3× as much to ppl on the bus and in the park.

No doubt that whole little hustle is what created the whole kids and teens selling candy on the train for their "football team" which became I'm selling this candy to pay for college which turned I. To I'm selling this candy for mswlf not no team or school but just so I won't be selling drugs

Got into a special program that allowed me to fast track HS..

Was working 30-40 hrs. a week after sophomore year.

Young boy was getting paid which was nice cause all I've mostly gotten since I hit 15 was a roof over my head. If I wanted it I had to figure out how to get it.

Real hustlers know.

sold cap guns and would steal them right back. lol this was like 5th grade before columbine and ish changed.

This is what I was most known for all throughout middle and high school. I sold candy from 6th grade to 12th grade. Got my feet wet when my Mom met a woman who worked for Mars Inc. She gave my mom 1,000 packs of sour skittles. She gave them to me and my brother. Mind you, this was two years before they were released in stores. My brother didn't like them so I sold them at school and made a KILLING. Then I started selling sodas and chips. That's really when things started to take off. I had people seeing how I was gettin it and try to undercut me. They failed and gave it up after a few weeks. I had several nicknames: candyman, corner store, walking fridgerator, duffelbag boy, soda man, but Hustla was my favorite  . When I graduated and went to high school, my game went to a whole nother level. Initially I had all my goods stuffed in my bookbag but It didn't have enough room so I started using a duffel bag. I felt like I was the **** when people complained to me that I put them out of business. Its interesting too, you start to notice trends as far as what ethnicities like what kind of candy, sodas, and food. White boys LOVED mountain dew. I use to have a system. One of my biggest sellers was the 24oz sodas which I was getting for the low. I knew how many I would sell each period, and how long they had to be in the freezer to be just right by the time I needed to sell them. There were a lot of pocket watchers, people who wanted to count my money. Got some attention from girls here and there which was cool. Im thankful for the candy game. It was the spark to my hustle mind state.
