For those of us in need of a silver lining to this 1-5 start, consider the following:

And is Ted really crying about money?

Didn't this genius just buy an Arena football team?  In a league that only going to have 4 teams next year... yes Four

http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/uss-arena-football-league-play-2017-season-four-teams/
The only way Ted can get a team into the final four is to buy in to a four team league.  That pretty much says it all.

True. If a horrendous season is what it takes to get Ernie the boot......I don't even care about a high pick if Ernie is the one selecting/trading/etc. it.

Get him outta here.....I'll take the ghost of Marion Barry over this bum. B**** SET ME UP!

:x

Wall needs to get a grip man

Otto Porter was amazing tonight. He's been the most consistent player on the roster this year

Wall ejected for a second straight game.

Did Wall just watch Tupac "Resurrection" or "Above The Rim"....he going awfully hard lately, but I don't mind the physical hit on Smart. I would rather see players frustrated at being 1-5 than complete apathy.

Wall was seen saying "Meet me in the back.....Meet me in the back"

Ha,

2-5!

GRAND THEFT OTTO

I don't think Wall's foul deserved a flagrant 2, but he has to know he's got a bullseye on his back due to his actions prior. I hope he's not suspended, because the team will need him more than ever vs. the Cavs.

Also, Otto, man. :pimp: Dude is becoming a fantastic wing and one of the best in the conference....dare I say, a potential #2 scoring option??? WHo would have thought? He's gonna get PAID.

I'm really impressed by porters play so far ...looks like he legit improved :pimp: ...if they can get Beal back on track then it's lit

DeMarcus Cousins is often mentioned by Nuggets fans, since he previously played under Malone when he was the coach in Sacramento. But I’m more intrigued by Boogie’s old Kentucky teammate, John Wall. Most teams don’t need a point guard, since it’s one of the deepest positions in the league, and even if Wall were considered an upgrade, he might not be worth the assets it would require to get him. But the Nuggets are a team in need of one. Maybe that point guard is Mudiay, but he isn’t necessarily the answer at just 20 years old, and with shaky shooting and decision-making. Wall is the sure bet: a legitimate 20-plus-point-per-game scorer, a lightning bolt in the open floor, and a virtuoso navigating defenses.

Don’t be fooled by the Wizards’ dominant win over the depleted Celtics on Wednesday night. They are in shambles. Washington ranks bottom-10 in many important categories: defensive rating, net rating, assist percentage, assist-turnover ratio, and true shooting percentage. If this slide continues, maybe they should acquire a care package of youth and draft picks for their one true superstar?

There have been absolutely no indications Wall can be had, but it’s at least plausible he could become available. Just to toss an idea out there: Maybe Mudiay, Nurkic, and both 2017 draft picks would be enticing for Washington. The Wiz would still have Otto Porter and Bradley Beal, with their own first-round pick, two high-to-mid first-rounders in a deep draft, and tons of young talent. Wall would join a team that has more talent than any he’s played on before, moving to a city that might actually put up a billboard with his face on it. The Nuggets would have their top-flight superstar who fits seamlessly next to their sharpshooting guards, and versatility at wing and forward.

You might think that the Nuggets shouldn’t even make that trade. Wall isn’t a perfect player, after all. That’s what makes their standing in the league so interesting: There are multiple paths to contention in sight.

Intriguing proposal, but I don't want EG making this call.

Beal out tonight...Sheldon McClellan is starting at the 2-guard.

*I think Wall's sitting also because of the back-to-back

2-7, here we come!

Important stretch coming up for this team:  five potentially winnable games in a row.  If they can't gain some ground here, the hole may be too deep to dig out of to even have a shot at that eighth and final playoff spot.

It'll be interesting to see if Brooks insists on keeping John out in the next back to back.  If all goes "well" and you're clawing for position at the end of the season, you'd love to see some of these teams.  If we keep losing, Wall will get shut down anyway and his availability in March will be irrelevant.  Anyone can see that this team has zero chance at competing without him.  Getting even 20 minutes out of him in a back to back could make the difference.

I wouldn't give up on Wall just yet.  Even if you get another #1 pick out of it - and you won't - players of his caliber don't come around every year.  You don't just replace a guy like that with a couple of third tier players and mediocre draft picks.

I'd take calls on Beal long before I started shopping Wall.  For better or worse, he's the best player this franchise has seen in my lifetime - aside from MJ, of course.

Second and third tier players are always available if you overpay in free agency.  It's much harder to come across players who are - or can be - top 3 at their position.  Wall still has that potential.

Look at our history of player development and drafting.  Do you really think we'd get more out of that trade than Denver would?  Not a chance.  If Ernie trades Wall for that, you might as well replace him with Sam Hinkie and put us all in cryogenic stasis for four years.  (A prospect many of us would find appealing right now anyway.)
Yeah, and in a couple more weeks he'll be on it.

It’s not even fun coming here anymore. It’s so much negativity. I understand we’re losing games but damn, we just got to cut that right now. It’s not fun at all.
It's not fun, you guys.

Don't worry everyone! The Wizards will play around .500 ball the last 5 or so weeks of the season and save Ernie's job!
