Air Jordan 4 "Royalty" to release February 4, 2017

The current strategy Jordan brand is using right now is only a problem for people that care about having something that other people don't. Resell culture =/= sneaker culture. Even though some people think they're involved in one when in actuality it's the other that they're following. As far as quality goes what other massed produced trendy shoe are you getting in the retail $160-220 range in 2017 that's giving you quality that is more than moderately better? Not saying this is the case for anyone here but a lot of people are being disingenuous if they're saying they're not buying JB for the quality and the price increase. Fact of the matter is quality is absolutely up for most releasss going from 2009-2014 super hyped era when resell on GRs was 250 atleast and every release sold out. And not only that there are more releases, at more places, in MUCH higher quantities. No more preorders, no more backdooring, no more paying resell. It has never been easier in the past 10 years to grab a newly released pair of air Jordan's than it is today. Nike did that. That alone is worth paying the extra 30-40 bucks in retail. I think those using the cost/quality excuse every single drop aren't really interested in the brand or shoes to begin with. Real sneakerheads are copping with ease with a big a** smile on their faces and I guarantee Nike knows exactly what they're doing. They're not "over" producing. For a brand like JB more pairs made = more money made point blank

100% man. JB not gonna take the L for these resellers bruh. They've finally seen the light and true sneaker heads pay 30-40 extra instead of 100's

Resell culture is more than just resellers though it's the people that only associate what's hot with what resells. Same dudes paying hundreds for an adidas collab are the same ones paying resell for the NES mini. The same people complaining about JB cost/quality are paying resell for kith T shirts and supreme bogos.

Yeah, it's two different groups. It's people buying because what they like or for nostalgia. And others who want to buy based on exclusivity and what everyone else is buying.

Jordan's being easier to get doesn't make me want them any less, because I was going to get only what i liked anyway. It makes me happier I can now go to my store at 9am and see a small line and get the Take Flight's the way I could a few years ago. I like being able to go to the store and seeing the royalty's in person. And not just getting them, because I have to hurry up and make a decision, because they won't be around later.

The whole roshe craze, I didn't even know about. Because I didn't like nor have any interest in the roshe. Now people have a bunch of roshe's they didn't want.

That's why I wonder about people who sell one group of sneakers to horde another. Did you ever really like them in the first place?

Keep putting out Crappy js I don't need...I got to many DS as it is...If you like congrats, just not for Me off to the next...

Not sure how everyone feels about this, but I remember when Jordans were rocked by actual cool people with a sense of fashion. People who actually rocked sneakers wore them because of the love that they had for them.

Nowadays it's just a "trend" that a lot of people and companies exploit. Record labels in the music industry spends a lot of money just to put their artists in Jordans to get noticed. For example, watching Gucci Mane on Complex buying Jordans was sickening lol. Drake/Jordan Brand doesn't seem like a natural collaboration. Seeing all of these "celeb sneaker wears" and you're bound to see corniness from 75% of it.

To me, that kills a lot of the fanfare I have with Jordan Brand.

But like sdiori said, most of the time I just buy what I like.

Royalties are a nice solid clean colorway.

Beyond happy to cop my pair today (Monday) with no hassle. A delayed Christmas gift from my father in law. Love the quality and colorway.

It's corny now, because everybody wants to be a sneaker head.

You can buy everything up that's coming out and it looks like you have a collection, and kids will love it, because it seems like you have a lot of sneakers.

When it reality you have no knowledge of the sneaker. They have no nostalgia factor. You're just buying them because it's the in thing.

That's why I try not to even discuss sneakers with people off NT.

Yeah I did within minutes actually

Hmm when did you order? I ordered Saturday morning and got the order confirmation within minutes but haven't got the shipping w/tracking yet. Did you get tracking info?

I'm not too worried. Their website says up to 2 business days. But Ruvilla has usually been pretty good with me and has always got this out to me next day. So just Wondering. Thanks fam.
