Dipset were better just because they had that chemistry, you just knew they were guys that hung out together outside the music. Beans was great in his prime though as was Free. In fact, I would have Cam and Beans as the best two on the Roc ahead of Jay.

U don't even believe that lol

SP doesn't have a group album anywhere close to Diplomatic Immunity

Diplomatic immunity is 2 discs....and theres some filler in there.

Its great...classic of that decade

But chain gang vol 2....if that was 2 discs......would have been much better.

Imho of course.

Chain gang vol 2 is haf

If i see a cat bumpin diplomatic immunity ima be like :smokin

But if i see a cat bumpin a state prop album its like

Peep u didn't like ghost of rich porter ? The kitchen was really solid as well. I can understand if u didnt rock with the others

Philadelphia Freeway >>> any solo dipset album

Beans is a talented as any rapper period. At the height of the Roc's reign, he was matching jay bar for bar.

Never was a Juelz fan. Capo couldn't rap for a good chunk of his career and at the peak of the dips movement. Hell rell >>> juelz and jimmy. JR had some great verses.

I really don't care about the extra curricular stuff like wearing pink or banging. In terms or rapping ability, give me beans and free.

Nah wasn't feeling that much. It's just hard listening to Jim Jones' latter years stuff as he's been trying to find Max B replacements, and a lot of his music has just felt like the downgraded versions of his best stuff

I always thought Jimmy was dope.

He was simple, but spoke on some real sht. Plus, he's one of the best "game spitters" next to Birdman and Diddy

Jim Jones be saying some fly sht.

I will definitely say Dip Set had the more devoted fan base.

I wouldn't say Dip Set had the better catalog, they had the bigger catalog with the mixtapes. Quality over quantity

They and 50 started the current mixtape scene that exist

Neef can rap too same with omilio

You ever listened to a Neef Buck or Omilio mixtape?

thank you.

so many people in here focusing on BS.

imma dip fan all day but them dudes did a lot of rhyming for rhyme sake. it was swaggy, stylish, def sounded good and appealed to a lot of people but in all honesty they werent actually saying much. buncha wheel spinning in their verses. no traction, no progression. it was cute @ the time but it was nothing you could hold on to in the long run. none of them dudes was paintin hood motion pictures like SP.

lol @ ol boy talkin bout jim alone had a better catalog than ALL OF SP. if you a fan, be that. lets not get crazy tho my G.

As a fan of both, I don't get why it's even a debate.

Dipset was so much bigger in popularity and sales.

Beans was the better rapper out of both, I prefer Cam's catalogue.

Beans 1 and 3 albums were great, I liked both SP albums and then who else? I never ****** with a Freeway album. His voice is the worst. Never was a Young Gunz fan. I'll never forgive Rocafella for not giving me a Peedi Crakk album.

Jim Jones is a **** rapper but he had JOINTS. That Harlem album is better than any SP member's album that wasn't Beans 1 and 3. POME was also a hard album.
