Houston Rockets 2017 Preseason Thread - Spurs MyPlayers Take Over

Unless there's a trade that can put us on even ground or even a tier down from GS then i think the Rockets need to sit out this years trade deadline.

Just roll with this team and let Harden take you as far as he can for this season.

Agreed, but I'd still try to get what you can for Brewer, KJ, and Ennis. Some positive depth player that can see the court. i just don't know who that would realistically be.

They can finesse a team for those three for someone positive for sure. I just don't know if Morey wants to even touch the mold at all even though he can

Anderson continuing Terrence Jones' tradition of getting into off-court freak accidents:

Rockets forward Ryan Anderson "lopped off" a piece of his right thumb on a piece of broken glass on Sunday, making it unclear whether he will be available to play Wednesday in the Rockets' final game before the All Star break.

"I was pushing something down the trash chute and a piece of glass chunked a whole piece of my thumb off," Anderson said. "It was bleeding for about an hour. I had to go to the emergency room. I'll live though.

"It literally lopped off the whole thing. I'll have a divot in my thumb for a while."

The Rockets did not have a practice Monday, other than players that came in for shooting drills and treatment, but Anderson said he would not have been able to play on

Monday. Anderson is averaging 13.8 points, making 40.4 percent of his 3s.

"I would not be practicing today," Anderson said. "I'll go for it (on Wednesday) but we'll see how this guy heels. Unfortunately, you have to use your hands a lot in basketball, especially your shooting hand. A basketball hitting it and opening it would not be a good thing. In two days, it could be better."

blessing in disguise :pimp:

nah im ******* around, would never wish actual harmful injury on no man

Smh a season on the up and up and we got freak accidents like that not even on the court

Luckily he's alright and it's not messing with his shooting

Yea when I was listening on the radio, they made it seem like an axe went through his arm or something

was disappointed to see us not end up with ibaka, but oh well. i'd sit tight unless we can offload brewer/KJ for either a wing that'll be here for a couple years, or an expiring deal.

 fr

I read something about us maybe being interested in Elfrid Payton, don't think he's too good at the 3 ball but he could be decent here.

Damn I need to change my avy get this dude out of here
It feels like so long ago that we signed Howard, Future was bright at least I thought so :rolleyes :frown:

The only thing that bothers me about Houston trading for anybody at this point is the possibility that they might have to give up either Trez and/or Dek. I like the energy and potential both these guys possess. I know in this business it's all about win now and acquiring a seasoned vet might allow them to make a legit push for the 'ship. But good young players are hard to come by so it'll be difficult seeing Houston part with these guys if comes down to that, especially if they go somewhere and become studs.

Exactly how I feel. Trez and Dekker should be homegrown guys you continue to develop as part of the future, so unless you can unload Brewer/Ennis/KJ for someone, they just need to stay right where they are, get healthier and juts win games.

That was an atrocious and embarrassing sequence right there by the Rockets giving up all those offensive rebounds. I didn't even know that was possible to do

Here's where a legit lengthy backup big would come in handy. A sequence where you give up 4 offensive rebounds followed by a score should never happen. They look like they've played 4 games in a row

No way in hell can you have only Capela going against groups of guys like everyone that plays on Memphis and Utah
