Houston Rockets 2017 Preseason Thread - Spurs MyPlayers Take Over

Yea in that deal you're basically giving away a pick and Capela for a higher ceiling/more athletic Capela. Nothing game changing, pretty much a lateral move tbh. If you move any of Capela/Dekker/Harrell in a deal, it better be on impactful trade.

Great pickup and a big trade. Now you can cut his minutes and still have real consistent scoring with Lou Will there

Please trade KJ and Ennis for one more piece. I know we can finesse someone

They need to figure out how to get a backup big now. A legit one, not an old or undersized one. Somebody similar to Ian Mahinmi or something.

EG gonna start?

I hope the pick is a next year pick. If it's this year, I'm a little eh about it. I think we draft pretty well and there could be some solid talent, late.

Another 6MOTY candidate sounds like a nice addition though.

I would imagine the starting lineup will be the same, but harden and dekker will get more minutes at the 3

Nah we will just take a minute or 2 from Bev, Harden, Gordon, Ariza, Dekker. It will add up.

Makes sense - I feel that. I wasn't sure how realistic it was to take mins away from Beard, EG, or Ariza...seems like they have relatively high +/- Hopefully our 2s can extend some leads/hold ground with Lou in the lineup.

And Lou's probably top 5 in the league at drawing fouls to take us to the line :pimp:

Shoulda be no reason for Harden to play all of the 1st and 3rd quarters.

There was a point in the season where pringles took harden out late in the 1st and 3rd and we went on a tear. I think we won like 10 in a row.

^good observation. I hadn't followed his +/- as closely this year, but in general, it seemed like leads were evaporating the second Beard got off the floor, but I could us figuring it out by just distributing the minutes for him better.

What y'all think about Tyson chandler? Probably could get him for expiring contracts.

The only problem is he has I think 2 more years on his deal thus eliminating us from free agency.

Would have to give up a core person to get him I think, cause his contract is :x he signed a 4 year 52 million dollar contract back in 2015. That's not at all the money you want tagged onto this team. Plus, a younger and cheaper dude would do just as well, and more than likely better. Who that person is, I have no idea.

Mavs just gave up Justin Anderson and offloaded Bogut's contract for Nerlens.

(Philly's not gonna get that protected 1st round pick. Mavs are trash)

We didn't have anything better to offer?

They must no value bogut. They could easily turn the Lou trade into a 4 team trade and get bogut and Lou

Plus, unless you're moving a core guy, KJ', Ennis and the Brewer trade exception are the only things you can move

Ryno seems to be beloved in Houston. I hope we find a way to replace him in the starting lineup.

We won't be actual contenders until that happens....unless we magically get handed a dominant 5.

I totally agree. Ryno and Capela together is way to soft in the front court.

Only way Ryno should start is if a Deandre Jordan type player is starting with him
