Houston Rockets 2017 Preseason Thread - Spurs MyPlayers Take Over

i guess it could have gone worse. Tomball Jimmy Butler wasn't there to drop buckets on us. We still trash for the showing. Mighta got smacked had Jimmy been out there. idk.

Fortunate that JH was feeling it late and Trev and a few others picked up the intensity for that stretch of about 7-8 possessions in the 4th/OT

This game was exactly like the Texans/Colts SNF game

Anderson really needs to do more than shoot 3s. He was such a footnote tonight. I know he loves Houston and has wanted to be here for a long time, but his tenure here might be short at this rate. He's at his best when he's making 3s and actually grabbing boards and getting layups and step-backs, but he's done very little of that for awhile now.

Unless he wasn't on the market then, I don't know why we didn't trade for him when we had Asik.

When he sets the pick I'd like to see him roll to the rim every now and then.

Right now it's exclusively pick and pop with him

Wins are pretty premium right now, especially with the Jazz slowly creeping up on us. Good overtime win against Chicago that looked like it was headed south, a Falcon choke in the Hawk game before that. Orlando is another young and talented sub .500 team, so the Rockets better not decide to take them lightly as they've done other teams.

Not trying to hear the rust excuse tonight. Legs should be A-1 after 3 days off.

we'd be up 30 if JH wasn't so fat and lazy on defense. Somebody has to point that **** out on film bro. its wild disrespectful to be on an nba basketball court literally walking/standing around for multiple posessions with 4 other guys hustling. even if you're up 20.

The laziness this team gets is just puzzling, just standing around on defense. The lead should be like 25 right now. That possession where Vucavik(?) was able to gather himself for 5 seconds and shoot was embarrassing. Luckily he missed. There was plenty of time for someone to go contest that shot.

I wish harden constantly played with passion. Don't understand how you next Beverley and don't absorb any

it might take him losing this MVP to finally wake up. The all nba "snub" was a primer. something's gotta shake. we have a lot more to address, but he has to get that together if he's gonna be the star

shouldn't come to that though, this locker room needs to find a way to tell him

We need a Stephen Jackson or a tony Allen type player. Someone who'll slap the ish out of him when he pulls this stunt

A ******* 10 point game. This team just checks out so much it's not even funny. It would be different if the other team was doing something to cause it, but nope, they just get straight up lazy. Standing around, not going for loose balls, not boxing out. It's sickening. There's some good players on Orlando, but come on, they're getting baskets that are TOO easy

I'm on board with getting Ibaka here. We need another rebounder badly. Capela can't and shouldn't do it by himself, and we shouldn't have to expect Pat Bev to grab 10+ boards or whatever. So many other teams are able to rotate multiple guys to grab boards, and we basically have one.

Props to them actually having a sense of urgency in the last 7 minutes or so. The good defense leading to clutch buckets was exactly what they did earlier in the season to be ranked so high.

yes to Ibaka… would help tremendously..

what do we have to give up tho?

Brewer/KJ plus ??

That would suck, cause then you'd be back to 1 rebounder, this time one that's not even actually a center. Magic ain't going anywhere anytime soon, take KJ, Brewer, and Ennis and get the hell on

How would you work out the 4/5 rotation then?

Not saying it's not possible, but someone(most likely Ryan Anderson) will see a minute reduction.
