I'd be okay in a winter is here scenario. Cuffing season would just turn in to cuffing for life.

Or commandeer a train (probably da 5 train) and get on that Snowpiercer life all the same, minus the cannibalism.

bruh it's 2 degrees right now in Toronto. It aint even February, I'm straight.

Almost as big of an issue as the cold is where will people get food. Farms abd crops going to freeze over and livestock will be killed and eaten up quick.

God knows we have enough canned goods. With all the people that will die from the first week of the ice age, the population will most likely be cut in half or maybe even 2/3

All you can do is stock up on racoons and have a racoon farm.
 
Move to a house with a nice, big back yard on flat land, and build a permanent outdoor hockey rink
 
What would happen is that the wealthy from the global North would abandon their sanctimonious talk about private property and national borders and they would invade Latin America, Africa and the rest of the global South. If Wall Street were under a glacier and the best farmland was in the Sonoran Desert, things would change.

That movie Day After Tomorrow was pretty dumb but it was correct that Americans would head south really quick. The only difference is that Americans would come with an army and we would not be asking Mexicans to let us in either.
