Nah I just got my credit back into the 700s. I'm not about that **** up your credit life.

So some of you may remember my post about how I needed to get my brakes totallly redone and it was going to be like 2k. It ended up being "only" 1500$ and we got it out the shop Monday. So today going back to work on Fort Sill I was going about 45, realized I didn't have ANY brake friction whatsoever as I'm pulling up to the line to get in the gate. For those of you who've never seen it, they have gates outside military bases now where they check your ID then let you drive through so at times of high traffic like lunch which this was, it's particularly traffic jammed up.

As I was coming up on 2 lines of about 12 cars deep to the gate and about to stop to wait my turn I realized there was no friction whatsoever, total break failure. I tried to downshift, no dice, (also tried to Flintstone that ho, opened the door some and was trying to get some traction to stop it that way, obviously no success there), just heard some screetching noise, ended up able to swerve around the line on the outside by hopping up onto the sidewalk, then avoided the 2 cars in the merging lane off the interstate onto Fort Sill Blvd, by swerving up onto a grass embankment, flew off this like 2 foot high setup and landed on some lights crushing them, then ran into a brick wall. I'm fine, I just got right out of the car laughing and embarassed and called my parents. I did bang my knee on the steering wheel a bit, have a small small limp, but I'm still planning on going to hoop in like 3hours when Enterprise calls me with a car.

So what are my recourses? At the least, I'm getting that 1500$ back and they're going to pay for the lights and other damage to the gate area that I destroyed, correct? I already talked to the Shop who did the job, had the car towed there but he only got a chance to look at it while it was on a wrecker then my insurance had me redirect the tower to the dealer. So now the problem is I have to keep them in touch with the dealer who is going to be possibly fixing it so they can see everything and determine what went wrong in order to report to their insurance as well as he wants to claim the warranty from the Master Cylinder which he says he guesses went bad.

I mean I basically have an idea, but what do I do next? Keeping all these different people in touch which other and on the same accord seems impossible and I don't want to miss one detail and have that somehow derail the whole thing.

Also, do you think the car is totalled if my driver's side door wouldn't close? Afterward, the car actually didn't look that bad, but when we tried to close the door it was WAY off alignment which likely means the frame is bent, does that mean it's totalled or is it going to be fixable? Because honestly, I don't even want it back after that much fixing. I'm hoping I can just get a new or equivalent car (it's an 05 Grand Prix) out of it.

By the way, pics forthcoming, I got them on my phone
