Still have my 08 CDP worn like 2x .. not letting them go either (I hope lol). They are too clean but I will certainly be after these. This is my favorite III.

No one is paying that lol.

We don't know what they'll look like but JB Doesn't use paint that chips, shiny leather like the 2011 and jumpman air anymore. The 2018 should be a better buy.

that is about the prices on there actually

Yeah I was just looking, prices range from $350 - $550 with $550 being the last few sales in size 9.5 which was my size I sold but who knows how long that could take to get a buyer

You're the only person I know who has spoken highly of the CDP. Those sneakers were the most uncomfortable sneakers I've ever worn. Ended up selling away most of my pairs because of the sheer discomfort. Couldn't get around to wearing them without feeling pain.

The 5's were mostly good around the early millenia, and so were the 13's and 14's. Quality really started to drop around 2008. Fire Red 3's had the best mold IMO, but the paint job was awful.

I wish they'd make more 3's with that mold.

I would say around 2006 things started going down hill. The military and fire red ivs from that year were 2 of the worst releases of all time. It's kind of all mering together since its been so long lol, but the vs from that time frame were pretty solid imo. The most blue and tour yellow ivs from then we're pretty good though.

This makes me laugh. People are on here saying the '07 FR 3 was good quality. Haha. While it is better than the '11-'16 trash that has been put out, it is far from good quality. As some have said, quality fell off after '01. The'03 was a departure from the better quality of '01, but light years ahead of the '07. I own them all and can speak from experience.

That being said.....the '16 TB has terrible craftsmanship, but can feel "decent" once the leather has been worked. By that I mean allowing the so called tumbled leather to relax by being stressed. It is waaaayyyy too stiff out of the box. Too many people are worried about what they perceive as creasing, but that is exactly what tumbled leather is. Google any pic of a 1988 OG Jordan 3 and what you notice is the "quality" of the leather, (shape aside obviously). It looks premium because of stress marks which are very faint on the '16 retro. These stress marks add depth to the leather. Once the'16 TB 3 is relaxed, it gives more depth to the shoe. While not as nice as the '88, it definitely feels and looks better than straight out of the box.

The above is not saying that it will make the quality better. It just means it will "feel" better than the crap you feel out of the box, which is way to stiff. JB really needs to step it up in the quality and craftsmanship department.
