And I think you can't simple call folks that either grew up in the culture but are a different race or those who truly admire it and contribute to it vultures. It's those that absorb it as their own with no respect to the ground work laid with a sense of entitlement and a complete disrespect to others of the culture. Like the difference between Paul Wall and Kid Rock. Not even sure why Drake is mentioned, he's as black as our President no matter how you spin it.

As far as latinos were they in the same slums participating in hip hop culture? Yes. Does that change that fact that hip hop is inherently African American? No.

Miley is prolly the biggest vulture in the business. I recall an interview she did a few years back around the "Party In The USA" days, and she said she never heard a JAY-Z song and doesnt listen to rap music in general. Then 3 yrs later she's out here introducing mainstream America twerking like she invented it.

And it just irratates me when white America catches onto something that was considered ghetto when only people of color were doing it, and then turn it into the "new" trend once they finally discovered it. Such as braids/cornrows

A culture vulture to me would be someone who only claims the culture's "cool" aspects but does/says nothing for injustices that culture faces. For example, if you're going to be a part of black culture, you can't pick and choose what parts you want to respect. Don't abandon it and say nothingwhen black people are being gunned down by police (like vulture #1 Bieber)
