Man, is anybody satisfied with anything Jordan Brand puts out nowadays or what? Every thread I go in it's people complaining for pages after pages about a shoe
You must've skipped the "take flight" 8s thread... seems like almost everyone in there was satisfied with that release (including me

)

these are booty bro... and at the price JB is asking, you think people just gonna praise the shoe when a shoe that recently dropped was cheaper and executed way better than these?

You're right. I guess my reply wasn't necessarily in reply to this particular shoe, more or less a collab of a lot of the posts I've read lately. Everyone had something negative to say about Black Cat 13's. I head to Royalty 4 thread and everyone hates the material. I come here and everyone hates this shoe. No one likes anything that Jordan Brand puts out apparently...

I saw that KicksonFire had them listed at the price of $190 so I was in until I saw the $400 price on this thread. Don't see how people can hate on how this shoe looks.

Just saw a pic of the packaging.. I guess they think putting a bape look on it will help sell em for $400.

They're nice, but not worth the ticket..
It's Black History Month and you think that's a BAPE "look"

Y'all can't be this ignorant.

Looks like the remixed version of the Olives.

Hard / easy pass on these

Do a lot of people buy the $400 Jordans that release at full retail? It seems like a lot of these get marked down and are sent to outlets (like the Pinnacle 1s).

Some of the 1s ended up that way, but I think all the 4s were immediate sellouts. I tried to cop through SNKRS on every release, and failed. That being said, I believe resell flops for most, so maybe that'll change. I don't see these sticking around though

Yeah Nike/JB probably really limits quantities so most cws will sellout.. I can't see a $400 massive GR selling out these days.

I never fell for this pinnacle or premium crap that Jordan brand is trying to pedal at such a markup
Since this start with the 1's in 2015 the 4's in 2016 and now this crap in 2017

None of these shoes are worth the markup

I get where you coming from... Sometimes JB does get unnecessary hate

Personally, I love the Black Cat 13s; I just didn't love the price... the jig was clutch on those

That's why I'm wondering who buys these at full retail? I don't think there is a single JB release I would pay over $300 for (assuming I actually want to wear them and not resell), but that's just me.

Yeah the $190 price increase was pretty unnecessary-especially for models like the 2s that were $150 the year before (and still had trouble moving at that price). I'm pretty sure every GR retro 2 went on deep discount because few were biting at $190.

2016 OG TB 3s sitting at $220 was case in point how there is a price ceiling for certain models with the exception of some cws that can move at that price (OG WC 4s, and likely OG BC 3s, etc.).

Nike keeps releasing these "high end luxury kicks" so there must be a market.
Otherwise, Nike would would have shelved it for good by the 2nd or 3rd release.

Believe me, there are a lot of people with money who would not hesitate to own these.

I'm certain Nike had a market & feasibility study done on high end shoes and realized they needed to have a presence in that segment of the marketplace.

Tuskegee Airmen. They've released AF1s with the same print.

They used to decorate their planes with the shark teeth.

History lesson

The Tuskegee Airmen is the popular name of a group of African-American military pilots who fought in World War II.
Officially, they formed the 332nd Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces.

Yeah, that is a good point-I'm sure they are selling well at that pricepoint for Nike to warrant these releases.

What I don't understand is how Nike still produces these $400+ shoes in China.. It kinda takes the "luxury" aspect out of it when you see that.

google "the flying tigers"

shark teeth were made popular by them but was in existence beforehand. studied this in high school many many years ago. this is more about the whole "take flight" concept. i dont think this has anything to do with tuskegee airmen
