I'd do it for free. That would be a hell of a rush. My only worry would be cleanly fielding it so I'm not a sitting duck.

What's the difference? Either way you're gonna get creamed. With a kickoff though you would be running at almost full speed. You hit the seam and POP!!!

The difference is that on the kickoff I have a fighting chance as long as I catch it. Odds are I can get out of bounds or down before someone tees off on me.
With the hang time of a punt, my odds of doing either of those things is close to zero. Punt returners get crushed right as they catch the ball.
