i thought it was a big deal that a newspaper as big as the la times is making "puff pieces" about racists

ppl will look at that guys picture and think "oh he doesnt look dangerous" despite being a threat

and i end my posts with thoughts? because when i lead with my opinion it detracts from the thread and ppl derailing

so i simply offer the topic for discussion sans any input from me

The tea guy is simply being what he is, a white male in denial of his own racist inclination. His passive aggressive style of behavior and speech, allows him to lean on the victim button. He will throw a punch, then run while apologizing.

If that were a group of minorities there would have been squad cars around monitoring the situation making sure nobody got out of line. Making sure that nobody was being offended by the gathering, or that they just weren't loitering/causing "trouble"


But nah. They get to be out in the street on full Nazi mode and its all gravy.
 
It says a lot if you think a congregation of white nationalists with an explicitly stated goal of influencing policy is no big deal

But I'm sure there are more than a few NTers who are sympathetic to the ideals of that movement

You can pick them out by their use of /pol language/memes and their "nothing to see here" attitude regarding racism
 
I wonder what some of these sympathizers of white supremacist groups would say if Muslims held the belief that they are superior to people of European descent.
And if that group had a history of killing European Americans would they be cool with it that a Muslim president was elected and shared some of the same views.

I think some of you have NO IDEA what empathy is and how it works.

Read it all the way through, and then I'd like you to tell us why you think that scenario is simply too far-fetched when your mans Trump defied all the odds twice.

We have proof that hate crimes and other racist incidents surged immediately after the Brexit vote and the police and other organizations have linked it directly to racists and bigots's views being "legitimized" in their eyes due to the vote. Thus resulting in the sharp spike in hate crimes.

Taking that into account, on what basis do you completely discount the possibility of a similar scenario happening in the US despite the country's long history of racial divide and the way Trump campaigned?
