Went to my area's House Of Hoops to look at these. And came away very disappointed smh.
 
Finally got my pair...

I'm pleasantly surprised.  From a strictly 'aesthetic' standpoint...I think the first pair is great.  No regrets copping them, and an excellent addition to my collection.  I like them better than last year's debut pair (Achilles Heel).  The sleek grey, the iridescent heel plate; this is a great Kobe signature.  Very Aston Martin like.  That said...this silhouette really needs flyknit, otherwise, they're going to be too plain beyond this first pair. 

I think someone mentioned this before, but the 12 really does seem like a 'much improved' version of the 10 (looks-wise).  If they go the flyknit route, and can see these really being amazing.  Especially a couple HTM pairs. 

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but if this first pair gets restocked (which I think it will), and it can be had at discount.  I'll likely double-up.

Only complaint is the cheap laces. Barring any issues when they hit the gym Thursday I'm gonna be getting couple pairs. Got some blue pen marks (inside so can't remove) on the left shoe's midsole so if I'm keeping them gonna added white speckles.

I really like the shoe but it might not work out for me. The contour of the ankle above the tail end of the Swoosh sits right below my ankle bone and it's rubbing and causing blister when I walk. I tried crew socks but it has same discomfort. If it's doesn't feel better after breaking them in I'm gonna have to abort on this model. Not sure if I felt this when I tried on half size up. This shoe might not be for us with boney ankles :smh: Hopefully there will be a midtop.
