Getting together with my sister-in-law's family, she's Black, this year.

Mom's usually hooks it up with panes con pavo :smokin

My brother's wife said we're eating ham & fried turkey with all them side dishes.

Body is ready.
 
Finna be weird not having my aunt around since she passed away a few months ago.
Been celebrating at her place the last few yrs.
 
Heading home to Staten Island and then Harlem. Bringing my girl with me, it'll be her first time meeting the whole fam.

Will be spending tomorrow flying from SFO to Columbus Ohio, going to the horseshoe this Saturday for the game. 
 
Will be happy to see the following items:


Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes
Gravy

...everything else is just a bonus



High quality turkey from local glorified farm stand/store.

experienced this when my grams passed... being around the fam will make it easier. im sure your aunts presence will stll be felt
 
Thanksgiving with the cousins as per tradition
Sushi platter, Grandma's dry turkey, prime rib, and honey baked ham for the main courses
Sides gonna be mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, mac and cheese
Deserts not set yet, but I sweater gawd my uncle better come through with the pies :smh:
 
I hope I dont see my extended family, tomorrow. Africans love interrogating each other. :smh:

I'm making those and some other dishes. We'll have some champagne, some caviar, some cocktails and finish with some Armagnac. It's gonna be great. Happy Thanksgiving.
