Man they played this really close to the chest. I thought for sure a defensive player or trade down. I'm stunned.
I mean a 3, 4 and another 3?? I would think a smart GM would say "ok yeah we really like trubisky but they want too much. Let's stay put and maybe we still get him at 3"

Exactly. The only logical thing is that they thought the niners were going to take him. So stupid to give up all that to bump up one spot for someone not worth that spot.
